Just noticed this is directed by Julian Gilbey who made A Lonely Place To Die.

I didn't see that, but remember the reviews on here not being great and didn't an FMUKer have a run in with Gilbey on social media after criticising the film?

I'm having doubts whether this will be worth the effort. Anyone seen it or heard any early reviews yet?

Well that was about as good as I expected, it felt like I was watching an episode of 'Hollyoaks Later' ;) .

Watchable but instantly forgettable so it only gets a 5/10 from me...

Started out at a neutral 5/10 since I knew less than nothing about this film in advance. Rapidly gained a point when I realised it was British rather than Hollywood. Gained another when I spotted Will Poulter - OK another point for each of his eyebrows! That's 8/10 so far. Then it drops a point for being a TV style drama along the lines of something like Mad Dogs.
Acting pretty TV standard, including Will Poulter - not your best performance, mate. Nothing Oscary.
Enjoyed it none-the-less. Plenty of twists, nothing too taxing nor surprising.

As per above addition, it gets a 7/10 from me.

Watch on telly.

How dumb are diamond heists? I mean what do you do with the goods afterwards? You can't really sell them to anyone as the world's police are looking for them as well.

That said, I thought this was quite enjoyably British, with good performances all-round (it'as always a pleasure to see Will Poulter and I just realised the policewoman is Sadie from Eastenders!), even though some of the dialogue was dodgy, the eye-candy was convinced too easily to take part and the hotel shootout was totally over the top. It had a fair amount of humour though and the heist was enjoyably potty. They owed a German crime lord (Thomas Kretschmann) £2 million so naturally they thought of pulling a £20 million heist off. As you would.

The ending was a bit meh.

7/10

Razorback. That was the comment I had when I left the cinema - Hollyoaks!

Actually, Hollyoaks sums it up quite well.

How did they get to make that?

It was entertaining rubbish in a sort of brain dead way. Yip, a bit like watching Hollyoaks!

Back from Glasgow.

Like Stuartboy, pleasantly surprised it was British but unlike him I only give it a 3/10. Thought no one was eye candy especially the jerk (forgot his name so pretty much sums up how I feel) and didn't anyone else thought Sam looked like a very young Sid Owen. As I don't watch soaps I didn't recognise anyone except Will Poulter who I thought was over acting everything.

Instant forgettable.
