Before I Go To Sleep
Thought this was good rather than great, I found Nicole Kidman quite irritating consequently this film dragged a bit for the first forty five minutes however I must admit that I liked both the twist itself & the timing.
The final ten minutes seemed a little bit unnecessary & felt like filler but I was glad that I'd made the effort to see this so overall it did just enough to get a 7/10 from me...

Re: Before I Go To Sleep
Very full screening at Islington. No major disturbances this time though.
This was either rather good or utter twaddle - I can't quite make my mind up. Whenever I thought I had sussed a twist, something else happened. It was all a bit melodramatic at the end though.
I didn't realise the setting was London until she met her friend at the Observatory in Greenwich!
I can't believe

A good solid thriller.
It's only short, but still felt a little long, but my interest never slipped. 7/10

Re: Before I Go To Sleep
I quite enjoyed this and it did twist and turn very well. However the last five minutes ruined the whole thing as it was just plain daft!

Re: Before I Go To Sleep
I saw this in the Glasgow Fort tonight after much debating of which film to see as a choice of 3 available tonight.
I'm glad I did go and see this as it was rather good and this was the only preview screening of it. Like chelle1973 said for Edinburgh, you could have heard a pin drop in the cinema as folk were totally hooked on the film. I did anticipate one of the twists There was certainly plenty of twists in the story! I would have happily pa*d to see this.
Marks 8/10
BTW Did anyone else complete the online review? Some slightly different questions from the usual . . .

Re: Before I Go To Sleep
Enjoyed this. More like an old style thriller. Made a change from the films we usually see these days.
Re: Before I Go To Sleep
I can't belive that having read the book earlier in the year, known that it was going to be released as a movie, been looking forward to it and seen the title I still didn't twig that it was this movie....until about 3 seconds into the film! Plum!
I have to say that I was disappointed in comparison to the book. There was so much more in the book, and so many more twists. This just seemed like an abridged and heavily edited version with so much missed out. In particular there are two scenes which involve conflict/drama that are far more detailed and prolonged in the book.
Also the final scene that people are less than complimentary about is again an abbreviated version of the actual pulling together of a variety of different threads in the book. Agreed this scene does little to add to the film.
Definitely a case of reading the book after seeing the film rather than vice versa.
I do have to admit that despite having read the book (some months ago) I didn't see the first and main twist coming. D'oh! Was so much better in the book, though. Did I already say that?
Never even recognised Nicole Kidwoman.
8/10
A good stand alone thriller. Could have been better if it were another 45 minutes longer and more akin to the novel.

I enjoyed the film and thought this was a good thriller. Some good twists.
Re: Before I Go To Sleep
I enjoyed this, kinda old school Hitchcock type thriller, seemed about the right length.
Only gripe was the man behind removed his shoes and they were on the level with my nose, so particulary pungent smell throughout.
