Tinkerbell and the Legend of the Neverbeast

#1 Post by LondonCityNights » Sun Dec 07, 2014 11:20 am

Well that was a fun morning. An hour spent in a cinema full of excited children waiting for the film and then they announce that they can't play it.

Lot of angry parents and sad kids wanting their money back for popcorn, and people that'd wasted a day travelling down from all over.

They said to email The Times for free tickets to another screening. They'd better be free tickets for a film of our choice!

You didn't clap your hands!

Felt sorry for the parents - don't know why Cineworld didn't just usher the little darlings into a Frozen screening. It's not as if there weren't any kid friendly films going on at the same time that could have been used to rescue a wasted family day out.
Preferred cinemas:
Vue West End, Cineworld Haymarket, Odeon West End, Odeon Leicester Square, Empire Leicester Square, Cineworld O2, Cineworld Shaftesbury Avenue and Odeon Panton Street, followed by anywhere in central(ish) London.

Looks like it happened in a few places. Our odeon was exactly the same... no film...

They said they did not receive the copy of the film for today, they managed to get hold of a satellite version? But it didn't play on their system. so They put paddington on!

Totally stands a second viewing, enjoyed it a lot!

Though we did feel sorry for one or 2 little girls who started crying as they wanted tinkerbell!

I think it was also an option to get tickets for any other morning screening, but we were already settled in our premier seats and I did want to see Paddington again anyway! :P

They usually give a free screening of a film of your choice. It happened to us once or tickets to return another time

Hatfield didn't get the film in time either, they lets us pick any other film, we opted for Nativity 3, kids loved it, even if it was super cheesey!
Preferred Cinema's now Paignton or Exeter!

No problems at Trafford Centre with showing the film, but this was a SFF screening not Times. Very short film it was only about 1 hour 10-15 mins, the shops werent even open when we came out. I wouldnt be happy p*ying for such a short film.

Does anyone know if the Manchester Showcase screening went ahead as I gave a friend tickets?

Manchester Trafford well organised and we had the film o/

Was just long enough for me but really should be a straight to DVD for this - would also be pretty annoyed if I had pa*d for my three kids.

I donated my tickets to 6 year old great niece and friends with mummy, of course. They went to Braehead where although full there were no problems with the screening. Little girls had a great time though, as others have said, I think I would be mad if I'd had to p*y full price for a film this short. . . .another great reason to belong to FMUK! o/
Preferred cinemas: Best: Glasgow Quay, Glasgow Braehead, Glasgow Renfield Street, Glasgow Fort & Paisley
Others I'd go to: Glasgow Showcase Baillieston

Hope to get tickets for: Every film if they come to my preferred cinemas

Glasgow Cineworld showing had to be restarted as they screened it in the wrong aspect ratio at first.
