The Falling
Yeah, what was that? So weird, and boring, plus trying too hard to be arty, with endless shots of lakes and trees and the sky and young girls reading poetry. When the girls started fainting en masse I couldn't bear it any longer. Even the guy to my right who had been noisily slurping sweets earlier had nodded off. So we scarpered and got a takeaway.

Re: The Falling
I thought it was going to be an odd one but not quite *that* odd. I've never heard such a collective sigh of relief as it finally ended.

The Falling....Asleep!
Tripe.
Annoying more than anything else.
This had almost everything. Good actors. Good setting. Good cinematography. Good idea. Good story. Just no script worth a damn. What were they thinking?
Anyone else notice a soundtrack sounding like it was borrowed from The Wickerman? Very atmospheric, hypnotic and enveloping, and what with the subliminal images constantly flashing, this should have been awesome. Instead it fell...flat on its face.
What a waste.
5/10
Watch the trailer instead. It's so much better.

Re: The Falling
My oh my I always try to see the good in everything but apart from the area surrounding the lake would be nice for a country walk or a picnic I can't think of anything else. The man sitting next to me made a quick exit saying he couldn't cope with anyone else fainting. 3/10

Re: The Falling
to put this in perspective, this is the first time I have actively wished that a school kid would hurry up and die. Utter drudgery, mostly stiff acting and totally stupid plot - privileged children abusing their massive advantages for no reason - is really annoying. Meanwhile we were surrounded by the awesome sounds of Fast and Furious next door as if to compound the misery.
I'm guessing this may be a rerelease of a bad movie that bombed previously but is getting it now to cash in on its child star status from GoT, but if so thats backfired - this is almost bad enough to make you turn Lannister.
The only thing about it was getting to see an English school as they were back then, it all "looked" very genuine if you put aside the horrendous plot details, nice to not to see an iphone or bad fake tan or expensive hairdo in sight.

Dreadful. It's reassuring to know that this forum agrees as I thought I was missing something:
