Saw this in Milton Keynes. Not many people there. I really enjoyed it and so did my daughter and her boyfriend - so it certainly does appeal to a wide range of different people.
I liked the bit at the end with interviews with the characters on which the film was based. I am sure that as the film goes on general release there will be a lot more about them in the media.

I also went to Milton Keynes, and enjoyed the film. It was great to see a British film being released for a change.

Well took hubby for a rare cinema outing last night to this in Edinburgh which as Biggins said was dissapointingly empty. Think folks opted for Sky screening as so wet in Edinburgh and no easy parking in Lothian Road.
Hubby liked the film too other than the lady in the lead Sally Hawkins who we saw in Happy Ever After (he didnt like that film).
The story was all about real girl power unlike the Spice Girls.
BBC films dont often make bad films do they?
8.5/10 from us.

Really enjoyed this, it's well made and acted. The story is really inspiring and the lead characters were all engaging. I thought it was funny how none of the women in the credits clips looking anywhere near as glam as those in the film, but that is how it goes, isn't it?
I also skipped this as I had a really long day yesterday and had to rush to get there, but I was really glad I made the effort. I agree with the 8.5/10 others have given it.
102 Different free films seen in 2010 plus 2 repeat viewings and a few tv show screenings... not too shabby. Thanks to everyone for their contributions here.
