Survivor

#1 Post by stuartboy » Sun Jun 07, 2015 9:46 pm

A rather competent if somewhat unoriginal thriller. Fun to see Pierce Brosnan as a baddie. Shame poor Miss Jones was confined to a wheelchair and thus had little more than a cameo. Lots of charging around London and lots of bangs of one sort or another. Would have been more than happy to see this on telly, but there are plenty other films out this week that I would rather p*y for (if I was of a mind to ever p*y to see a film!)

6/10

Cineworld Unlimited is cheating! ;-)

I thought this was ok too. Nothing special but nothing offensive. Story was a bit too contrived and, of course, completely unbelievable, but a good yomp nonetheless. Yes, 6/10 is a fair score.

Bad, bad film. A real stinker, with bad acting, bad script and bad plotting. Brosnan must be the most unbelievable baddie in movie history: how can one of the worlds best assassins keep failing to assassinate an unarmed former supermodel? Why did people not notice that a bomb had exploded in the next street to them? Why was this film made? 4/10 ( mainly for the excellent performance of Brosnans moustache!)

Brosnan as a hitman? No... just no! Sounded a bad idea. Turned out to be a bad idea.

The film itself isn't awful, just for the fact that I enjoy a film where you actually recognise 90% of the locations

That film was equally forgettable - as proven by the fact that I've forgotten I watched it :D

I saw this in Glasgow last night and actually rather enjoyed it. Definitely not taxing but sometimes I just want to watch a film with a beginning, a middle and an end. I liked Pierce Brosnan as a baddie although I agree the acting was a little wooden from him . . .though I think it was probably meant to be menacing! Lol
I'm glad I went to see it as a night out was definitely needed.
