Age of Kill

#1 Post by Beate » Tue Jun 09, 2015 10:34 pm

Baaad.

Basically a Liam Neeson action film without Liam Neeson and with zero suspense. Or logic. Or good actors. Plus I didn't get the ending.

We had four walk-outs. Luckily two of them were the chatty couple to our right, so good riddance to them.

Another TV episode. Half wondered if this was Survivor Part 2.
Lots of soap opera actors. Also spotted a Dani Dyer in the cast list. Not the real one. Am surprised they're able to call themselves that.
Was ok. Could have been loads better. Was like a feature length pilot of a series. Ending seemed to be setting up for more. Sequels? Oh no.
Saw the twist coming almost from the start. Recognised the baddy's disguised voice.
And as for the Head of MI5's accent - what the hell was that? Am so glad he was referred to as that Scottish (person) as I'd thought he was maybe German or Swedish!

Very low budget in terms of special effects. Lots of long distance shootings, a car bomb that did little ore than blow it's windows out and simply a threat of a suicide bomb.

5/10

Quite a few walk outs in Edinburgh too.

Short and sweet comment, raj101 . . . I take it you didn't like it! Lol

I saw this in Glasgow this evening and thought it was ok . . . definitely not memorable. I'm glad it was free as it definitely did have the feel of a tv movie. Personally I don't think it was as good as Survivor which I saw last night. Like so many films these days the end is left in such a way as to make way for another film . . . though I'm not sure it will ever be made!

Marks 5/10

Edit: ps I wasn't aware of any walk outs in Glasgow. o/
Preferred cinemas: Best: Glasgow Quay, Glasgow Braehead, Glasgow Renfield Street, Glasgow Fort & Paisley
Others I'd go to: Glasgow Showcase Baillieston

I read a review that said bad Guy Ritchie with the cast of Eastenders, so I decided for an evening in the sun instead. Seems like a wise decision!

Well I think the plot may have worked if the actors had not been so bad. Even Martin Kemp was pants. It really felt like an amateur production and whoever put their name to this as director will hopefully never work again. I too worked out the baddie straight away and if this makes it on to general release then heaven help the poor people that will actually p*y to see it. 2/10
