Kubo and the Two Strings

Loved this! Got to see it on a IMAX screen though - really makes it outstanding, the absolutely gorgeous and magical animation, such a lovely story, but sad too. Worth going to see, if you get a chance. 10/10

This was a really good SFF invited guest list event. They also provided breakfast and then there was a quiz, mainly for the kiddies, before the film started with lots of prizes. Fun and games in the foyer for the kiddies too. They even had Japanese straw hats which became ideal as "plates" to hold the croissants and cakes on to carry all back to your seats! Great idea! :-)

Best animation of the year.

Quite a Studio Ghibli feel to the whole thing, but astonishingly it is stop-motion, which several people didn't even notice until the "bonus" footage over the end cresits

what probably threw the audience was the way it blended animation and stopmotion so well.

4 stars out of 5.

or 4 strings.

This was one of my favourite yet underrated films of the year. Great heartfelt storyline and the animation is some of the best I have seen. I recommend this to all my friends and the majority thoroughly enjoyed it.

Overall score 8/10
