Bad Santa 2

#1 Post by McG » Fri Nov 25, 2016 10:39 pm

I went to see this using my Odeon Limitless . . . and really wish I hadn't bothered! I seem to remember the first film was reasonably fun but this one is really poor....yes there are a few funny moments but that's about it. I realise I am not really of the age that this film is aimed at but I do usually like a Christmas film. Glad I wasn't p*ying!

Wouldn't have gone anywhere near this if not for the Limitless card, but had a couple of hours to kill before the evening's only showing of Your Name.

Hadn't seen the original.

What a very strange film this is. It appears to be aiming for the tone of WC Fields as a "comedy" with a very dark, twisted curmudgeonliness running through it - yet at the same time trying to maintain at least some Christmas spirit of tweeness amidst some quite remarkable crudeness.

It's certainly not like any other film we have seen this year - but a comedy ought to have a few more laughs in it.

Went to see this with my boyfriend since he had to review it for paper he writes for.

I hadn't seen the first film but had great things about it.

There were funny parts to this film but I think it felt really lacking.

I also don't think it was probably the best film since the sort of humour in it is probably not my thing. I personally find it a bit gross haha.

I did enjoy Kathy Bates' character, she was fun to watch.

after hearing bad things i managed to catch this at a late night show two days before xmas, and its not that bad, infact in someways i prefer it over the first film which was quite dark, this is a goof off xmas movie with a decent miss bates part that reminded me of various other old movies with that sort of family crime thing.
