prettyxcool wrote:Weird and eerie, but very good horror, mystery thriller. Found it very unique, with good script, stunning and disturbing surreal images. No monsters, but the characters are unnerving! You are unsettled right from the beginning.

My friend next to me jumped so many times, and one time her glass of wine flew into our other friend on the other side of her! :giggle: That was the thanks she got for b*ying her a glass of wine!

It handles racism really well too. Not preachy, or skimmed over.

8/10

Saw last night at Vue Piccadilly, we walked right into an abundant feast of mini burgers, chicken fillets and wedges, kept getting offered them at every turn. It turns out it was for another event. LOL

The screening was so packed, that they had to turn people away, and the film was late in starting. I wondered if people were supposed to be at the other event, and had sat in the wrong screen?
HAHA, and stayed in the wrong screen! I'm seeing Free Fire tonight so I'll be able to judge both films v
preferred locations Shepherds Bush, Westfield, Notting Hill, Central London, Wimbledon, Islington, Wandsworth thanks

And probably too embarrassed to move, especially, if stuck in the middle of the row, and when the film started, not very good to disturb anyone! :nono:

:giggle:

I wonder what the other film was? Did anyone find out?

Was a little disappointed with this. Loved the opening, acting was great. Jumped a few times, laughed a few times, but just felt it never really got going and then it was over. Loved the best friend, stole the show. 7/10

I loved the film. Although I agree with a few comments that it had a slow start and quick finish. I thought the detail in the film was amazing. So many things I missed or didn't truly appreciate in the first viewing that I'm very tempted to watch it again!

Would definitely recommend, the acting by the main actor was amazing!

Watched this for the second time tonight and amazingly without a nuisance audience, I enjoyed it far more than my first viewing but I still have some problems with it.

It felt like
Spoiler
Show
they wimped out on the racial side of it. There was no real explanation as to why they were kidnapping and altering black people.
When the question was posed, it was kind of brushed off.

My second gripe was
Spoiler
Show
the reveal which I thought was a good idea but one that should have been in a different film.
There's a possibility that there may be a sequel, I do hope there won't.

the buildup was good but once the impossible truth of the story came out, it just got stoopid. It just cant be done, even though I know its just a movie, .... you cant do that!

4stars until the end then 2.

(just want to clarify - it wasnt anything to do with races stuff that made it bad at the end for me, all that was 4 star stuff!, it was
Spoiler
Show
the sheer impossibility of brain transference
which dumbs down the ending after a really good ride. I know its not that important, but its a major detail if you think about it - without it, no part of the plot would ever happen.. so you need a solid basis for that being possible...at least try and explain it in some spiritual way a la "Skeleton Key").
