Going in Style

Desperate to p*y the bills and come through for their loved ones, three lifelong pals risk it all by embarking on a daring bid to knock off the very bank that absconded with their money.

Saw this last night and really enjoyed it. Gentle, predictable, but there's great chemistry between the 3 leads and enough laughs and chuckles along the way to keep you entertained.

The plot sounded similar to Arkin's Stand Up Guys from a few years ago, but this is much more fun and Caine, Freeman and Arkin, as ever, make it all look so easy.

A solid 7/10

I thought this was an entertaining film with 3 well known actors, Alan Aikin, Michael Caine and Morgan Freeman. The story was pleasant and provided a lovely evenings entertainment. It will never win awards but I would recommend it for a nice evening out.

Predictable but an easy watch film with plenty of humour. 7/10.

Saw this in Kingston Odeon. It was a sweet film, about three old codgers wanting to rob a bank in order to steal back their pensions, which the bank, as company administrator, had seized in order to p*y off company debts. Michael Caine’s character stood to lose his house if he didn’t get his pension. The plot was therefore similar to Hell or High Water, but much softer, with more humour and a lot less shooting. Not a great film, but OK to pass a couple of hours – one to watch on Netflix when there is nothing else on. 6/10

I'd like to add a word for Ann-Margaret's performance, as well as the 3 guys. To think she starred opposite Elvis in Viva Las Vegas in 1964 and is still going strong - an awesome 75 year old!

Nothing remarkable, in fact I started picking holes from the start which is not like me. Amusing at times but it seemed to lose its way at one point and my interest waned. I doubt I'll rush to see this again on release.

YEP.. Saw this today.. this morning, Brighton, Uk 2/4/17.
I thought it was a decent film with some funny one liners and comebacks.
Some lovely moments and some twists as well.
First film where they mentioned ''Divesticulitus' and stoma.. relevant to me right now!
