Watched Going in Style in Leeds this morning and really enjoyed it.

Entertaining family movie with a coup of pretty funny moments.

Went this morning and it was well worth getting up and out early on a Sunday Morning. Always been a fan of Morgan Freeman and enjoy all his films. Chemistry was excellent with the 3 leads and it proves that you are never to old to give a good performance. Would recommend 8/10

An amiable enough time-waster enlivened by a solid cast and a decent amount of laughs. It's certainly an improvement on Last Vegas, another 'old guys behaving badly comedy starring Morgan Freeman', though that wouldn't be too hard. It's also competently if anonymously directed by Zach Braff, working from a script by Hidden Figures' writer/director Theodore Melfi, who's clearly quite adept at creating enjoyable if unspectacular crowd-pleasers.
And I suppose if you really have to remake a film, in this case the 1979 film of the same name directed by Midnight Run's Martin Brest and starring George Burns, Lee Strasberg and Art Carney, then you're better off picking a film that isn't a widely remembered and beloved classic. Though the downside is that there were several moments during this where I was wondering how the two compare and whether I'd be better off watching that instead.
Overall not the disaster I was expecting due to its rather uninspired trailer but nothing to get too excited about either.

Saw it this morning. Despite my initial reservations, I was pretty impressed by the film. While it is quite formulaic and predictable, it has a charm and humour that make it enjoyable. Coupled with its short running time the time flew by. It wasn't incredible, but you could predict this before going.

Mediocre remake of the classic 1979 film. Try and check it out. George Burns at his best.

I thought the film was very average considering the stellar cast. Not worth getting up on a Sunday morning for this.

I found this rather more depressing than amusing. It's sad to see these actors deteriorating and aging. I noticed this with Caine as far back as Harry Brown (which is a masterpiece). It's sad that old actors are resigned to playing old person roles. At least younger actors can be made to appear older or younger as required.
Poor Christopher Lloyd. I wonder how much of that was acting.
Starts to resemble ancient circus animals being cruelly made to continue performing long after they should have retired.
Having said that, I'd far rather see these greats on screen than them disappear to a performers retirement home only for their passing to make news some years later.

I did find this rather uncomfortable watching.

Thought this was a pleasant way to spend a couple of hours, yes its pedestrian, but it has some good laughs and I failed to spot some of the plot ending in advance.
