I saw this today and have to agree it's a good film. I don't like horror films but noticed it was shown as a thriller so thought I'd give it a go by seeing it during daylight :p just in case! Definitely one to see in a cinema but not if you have 2 women who talked through much of it! I was in the Odeon Luxe and had my seat reclined so had to wait until on-screen noise to bring chair forward and go and ask them to stop talking as they were spoiling the film! Not 100% sure about the ending . . .though it was difficult to see how it could end differently.
Marks 8/10
ps Some folk were complaining after the film to manager so I joined in and we all got a free ticket . . .a bonus for me to take someone else as I have a Limitless card....mind you, a free ticket doesn't make up for £200 damage to car when trying to park beside a pillar!
Preferred cinemas: Best: Glasgow Quay, Glasgow Braehead, Glasgow Renfield Street, Glasgow Fort & Paisley
Others I'd go to: Glasgow Showcase Baillieston

Sorry to hear about your car.

Was it the Quay you were at by any chance ? Every time I go there someone always talks through the film, don’t know what it is about that place and would only go there as a last resort. That’s what puts me off from getting a limitless card.

Yes it was the Quay. I must say this is the first time I've had this for quite a while . . .initially I thought it might be 2 old dears but it was 2 25 year olds! Big weans!
Re my Limitless card I thought there might be sn increase in price to cover the dearer tickets at Luxe but still £17.99 per month plus a £30 gift card . . .good deal considering the increased ticket cost at Luxe.

deafenitely good fun. great acting too, particularly little girl (although I suspect she might have been a dwarf lady acting as a child)

The screening room was so quiet.

5 stars, only my 2nd top score movie of the year. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5DxDZUpmbgQ
fav 5 films of the year - Tenet, Bill n Ted 3, Invisible Man, JoJo Rabbit, ?

Just seen this and I thought it was incredible. It was incredibly tense, incredibly well conceived and directed and had some amazing performances.

But perhaps most incredible of all were the audience. On the way out I passed 3 teenage girls laughing and talking about the film - having all clearly enjoyed it - and they each had a nearly full bucket of popcorn. I overheard one of them say that they'd only been able to eat it during the couple of very brief sections with music. In fact it was the most silent I'd heard a cinema crowd in years, for that alone it deserves some kind of award.

A great experience all round, well worth a trip to the cinema 9/10

It's quite interesting that everyone has mentioned how silent the screening room was. It was exactly the same when I watched the film, which was excellent. I'm a bit of a cowardy-cat with regards to watching horror films, so my BF also ended up with bruises due to me grabbing him at a number of very suspenseful moments in the film, which is one of the best I've seen this year so far. 8.5/10

Really good film 8/10. One thing bothered me though..
Spoiler
Show
aside from the obvious stupidity of getting pregnant, why not set up camp beside the waterfall. They would be able to talk to each other and, more importantly, it would have masked the babies cries. They were really smart otherwise so seemed silly to be riding it out on the farm.

Happened to be in town and thought i'd watched this, i'd see it as syfy horror. A real chill to the bone the way gthe audience participated by b*ying in to the silence of the moment.. no crisps or pop-corn or nachos during the quiet moments but massive gorging during the sound moments!.. great movie following the movement of a family of 4 trying to escape an alien race attracted to something akin to noise or not.. and how they cope... loved it.. references to other movies.. 8/10
