In fairness at least you won a ticket and saw the film. I and I’m sure many others would have been more than happy to sit through the preamble if we had got the chance to see it.

Point taken, but two hours was unnecessary. I had to leave the cinema during those two hours so as to remove and replace my car from the car park to avoid exceeding the 4 hour free parking allowance.
I believe there was an issue with the satellite linkup as Alex Zanes voice could be heard interviewing very quietly about 30 minutes before we actually saw and heard the same interview.
Also 2 hours sitting on your own isn't much fun. Just sayin'.

This film is awful. Cruise is awful. 'Plot' is awful. Everything so convenient for the IMF team. All it has going for it is lots of bangs and crashes, if thats your thing. Sean Harris is a menacing baddie but wasted in this being mainly a hostage. 5/10

Your mission, should you choose to accept it is to watch this whole movie without leaving to go see mamma mia next door ..oi come back

1 star, perhaps 2 if you are a fan of the series, but this is way too far removed from the excellent original movie.

Going to see shortly for the second time, can’t wait, one of, if not the best action film I’ve ever seen, has everything. Reviews have been incredible and rightly so.
Upcoming films want to see;
Top Gun Maverick
MI 7 & 8
The Many Saints of Newark
Ghostbusters : Afterlife

Best films seen recently;
Tenet
Once Upon A Time In Hollywood
In The Heights
A Quiet Place 2

I have never seen any of the mission impossible films, but as I work in London where some of the filming was done, I thought I’d give it a go.

I was a bit concerned at the length of the film, 2 hours 30 minutes is a bit long for me.

But I was completely enthralled by the whole thing. A Stella cast led by the fabulous Tom Cruise. Lots of comedy moments to break up the action which I really enjoyed, and although I hadn’ Seen any previous MI films, I found the story pretty easy to follow.

So impressed, I am now looking to watch the other films in the franchise.

Completely agree!

The original was fantastic, but since then none have lived up to it. I thought M:I 3 was a good enough film on its own, but the rest are just mindless action films with set pieces for the sake of set pieces.

Personally I'd rate them:

Mission: Impossible - 9/10
Mission: Impossible 3 - 8/10
Mission: Impossible - Rogue Nation - 5.5/10
Mission: Impossible - Ghost Protocol - 5/10
Mission: Impossible - Fallout - 5/10
Mission: Impossible 2 - 5/10

yes that sounds like they are listed by rank order of directors, which says it all, De Palma on top, JJ and Brad Bird following. They need someone to turn the series on its head.

This forum is bizarre, most are the opposite of general consensus for just about every film :P
