MI Fallout

#1 Post by tonethestone » Sun Jul 15, 2018 2:22 pm

Was v lucky to see this in advance, outstanding, the MI series somehow gets better every film and again this one is even better than Rogue Nation. Amazing action, twist and turns, great story, villain excellent and best of all ties back to previous films v cleverly. Believe the ecstatic reviews, this is one of the best action films ever made. 5/5.
Upcoming films want to see;
Top Gun Maverick
MI 7 & 8
The Many Saints of Newark
Ghostbusters : Afterlife

Best films seen recently;
Tenet
Once Upon A Time In Hollywood
In The Heights
A Quiet Place 2

Why does Tom Cruise running always look like Christopher Reeve running against the express train in Superman The Movie?

I saw the movie. Exaggerated speeded up comedy running! Car chases all speeded up as well - check out how fast all the background traffic is going in London and Paris. Lol.

Far be it for me to dis the Cruismeister though - wouldn't catch me doing half the stunts that he actually does, although if they were all real then he would be most likely deaded.

Thanks Stu, nice to get an opinion other than one of the actors on the live stream (I wonder if they get pa*d for acting like its the greatest movie ever during them?)

u get a pass for the stunts.

Was lucky enough to get to see this at the Trafford Centre, enjoyed my shopping slightly more than the film. I'm getting rather tired of these films now, if it wasn't for the fact that he does the stunts, I don't think it would still be going. The stunts were really good, but the storyline is all over the place. I think it may be the the exact same film with different stunts. Acting seems to be getting worse from everyone and so many flaws in the story, some of doesn't make any sense. All that said I still gave it 8/10 mainly for the stunts.

Agree with above. All stunts, no content. The sort of film where you feel you’ve seen a masterpiece as the credits roll, but as you’re driving home you begin to realise it made no sense and plot holes were gigantic. Acting really poor from everyone. My initial mark of 8/10 has been reducing steadily as I’ve thought about it. I know, I know, it’s not meant to be something you think about deeply, it’s escapism, but I did expect more content than watching extreme sports footage.

Cruise popcorn movie with good background settings. It's silly but good fun. 9/10 from me.

Sucked that we had to sit for two hours before the movie actually started. Wish I could have slept through Alex Zane. Oh and what happened to the questions from the audience?
