Bohemian Rhapsody

#1 Post by tonethestone » Sun Oct 21, 2018 6:30 pm

Was unlucky enough to see an early screening of this. I’m not a big fan of Queen at all, but I watched this with two big Queen fans and we all agreed... main actor playing Freddie is great, the rest of the movie sucks, just plays out like a Sunday afternoon film, but worse. Overacted (bar main guy), Live scenes lack and the film just nothing on A Star Is Born.

1.5/5
Upcoming films want to see;
Top Gun Maverick
MI 7 & 8
The Many Saints of Newark
Ghostbusters : Afterlife

Best films seen recently;
Tenet

Had time to dwell on this, i'd say worst film of the year, and yes i include Mamma Mia 2 in that. Believe the reviews, its that bad.

Have to agree with McG “brilliant”

Looks as if it might be a marmite film. Interesting to see what others think.

I was at the Live Aid concert and seeing it recreated
gave me goosebumps

I was also at Live Aid so those scenes made me very emotional but then finding out what we did about Freddie before the concert tipped me over the edge.

I loved the scenes involving his dad which showed how Farrokh rebelled against his strict father and his religious beliefs and then

Show
we see how his father finally understands his son's talent and is proud he's taking part in the charity event.
Very important to Freddie's story.
I loved the film and wanted to get up and stomp/clap just as I did at Wembley all those years ago.
I can't wait to see It again but on IMAX next time.

Said on other threads that this forum goes against general consensus, glad most here appear to be enjoying it, I must have seen a different film?!
