Saw this at the Odeon, Tottenham Court Road (less than half-full). Thought it was pretty terrible. A confusing, pretentious, self-indulgent, contrived mish-mash of a plot, loosely linked to the first two parts of this “trilogy”, Unbreakable and Split. I say loosely because at the time I had no idea Unbreakable and Split were linked, until the very ending of Split. James McAvoy was great as Kevin Crumb (from Split), who still has most of his multiple personalities. But apart from that, I would give it a miss.

A cut budget contrived mess. I would rather have not seen this tbh, its ruined what Unbreakable did right. Theres a couple of decent ideas bandied around (childhood superheroes manifesting in adult life, belief in powers being mental illness but the execution is awful.

1 star maybe. Not even a decent Shymalan reveal at the end. Maybe the big reveal was that the whole audience are mentally ill for expecting that the film might have been good.

That's not far off what it's actually about.

I really liked it up to a point but maybe that was more down to a perfect cinema trip and just having an appreciation that it's a strange movie to attempt. In a way it's a sequel to two films that weren't connected yet it manages to build on both and introduce it's own themes.

I think there's a fundamental flaw at the end though. One character says it's

an origin story but it's not at all, unless the children become super heroes. In the language of comics it would be a reveal or an unmasking?

yeh Glass would have been a great wildcard if played properly - in particular the scenes with him and McAvoy together were fun interactions, like the beginnings of a League of Super Villains. I thought there'd be a new villain emerging from all the supporting cast like Dunns son or the teen cheerleader with no facial expression. But nothing happened.

An empty glass, gotta be said.

I thought this a very dull film - I wouldnt have pa*d to see this and wonder whether the petrol money was worth it.

I really liked this movie, could watch James McAvoy in anything! *Swoon* lol. My mum thought his characters were hilarious (she hasn't seen Split). Was kept entertained 7/10

I don't really know what to think about this movie...
I didn't really enjoy more than that but I liked the end...
It seems to be a succesful movie because the cinema in Edinburgh (Vue Ocean Terminal) was full

I would suggest just to see them, and dont bother with this.

But if you have to put yourself thru it then certainly yes, the first two are good movies (if Unbreakble has trash ending) with plots that confluence into Glass.

it was ok, split and unbreakable are still better tho, this felt rushed and cheap, and very "star wars prequel trilogy" ha.
