How To Train Your Dragon 3: The Hidden World

Absolutely awesome! Loved it. A stunningly beautiful final story of the trilogy. The animation is so real and magical. It is a great story and an epic finale.

Also a feast for the eye. So beautiful and perfect. So much goes on that you cannot see everything on first viewing. I was lucky to be able to see it a second time. So many bits that I missed first time round. It is one you can watch again and again. The story is lovely and heartwarming, and captivating. Two new characters are introduced, the Light Fury and Grimmel the Grisley, the dragon killer.

Watching these characters grow from children to adult, makes it so real. The female characters gives as good as the males or even better. A brilliant family entertainment, even better at an immersive screening, where you enjoy pre-screening activities like Viking face painting, hair braiding, learn to train your dragon, puzzle solving, and a dunking sheep competition to win viking hats, posters and CDs. And the best part, riding Toothless and then being part of the trailer! :P 10+/10

Fan of the first film, second one tailed off a bit, this one was ok, but felt the emotional side (this is the final film) just didn't quite hit home as much as it should have done. When compared with Pixar films, like Toy Story 3, this wasn't even close to the finale of that film. Felt the film took too long to get going.

The opening Dragon raid was very well done, and there are some nice moments, but overall didn't hit the heights it could have.

2.5/5.
Best films so far 2019;
Once Upon A Time In Hollywood
Joker
Knives Out
Star Wars Ep9
Marriage Story

Still need to see;
The Irishman

Most disappointing;
Avengers Endgame

the dragons and scenery look great as usual but I'm guessing its probably lost a bit in trying to be both the 3rd movie in the series and also trying to remain canon to the tv animation. A fitting send-off though.

Very early release this year, at Chinese New Year, yet no reference to China, thought that was a lost opportunity, as China are big on dragons!

No, I do not want to see Bad Boys, ok?

Enjoyed this thoroughly. Passed the 6 laugh test, smiled throughout as the trilogy seemed to come to an end. 4/5.
