Just another popcorn snoozefest, its the usual naff CGI, Michael Bay-esque film, which tbf is what people expect walking in, but just feel so bored watching it. 1.5/5.

Top Gun Maverick
MI 7 & 8
The Many Saints of Newark
Ghostbusters : Afterlife
Best films seen recently;

I enjoyed it. It is what you would expect, fast and furious with lots of teriffic stunts, and good one liners.

Re: Fast & Furious: Hobbs & Shaw
the only fast and furious thing about this movie is the way they pulled a fast one over furious fans with this utter gunk.
Theres barely a stunt worth mentioning and only one speeding car in the whole thing. Lets not even get started on the zero logic/continuity. Most of the movie time is in fact used filling the screen with alternating extreme closeups of each of these sweaty gurning baldies uttering insults into the camera that you'd hear exchanged between 11 year olds on the bus in the morning. Imagine how bad that is in IMAX...60 foot high baldy-pat faces mugging at you. Awful.

I used to like F&F and 2F2F a lot, but never watch Tokyo Drift or the F&F that followed as I just wasn’t interested in their plots anymore (and frankly from their trailers they didn’t seem that different from each others). Still went to give this one a try, mostly because I had nothing better to do over the weekend...
It’s an ok film, if you like that genre, and I probably missed a few things by not having watch the previous F&F, but overall it’s your typical American blockbuster movie and the trailer says it all...
