Re: Little women
Tries too hard to be an Oscar approval film. It’s ok, seen much worse this year but instantly forgettable. 2/5,
Upcoming films want to see;
Top Gun Maverick
MI 7 & 8
The Many Saints of Newark
Ghostbusters : Afterlife
Best films seen recently;
Tenet
Once Upon A Time In Hollywood
In The Heights

Re: Little women
I saw this yesterday. I thought it was very good actually. Emma Watson is a little wooden, but the rest of The cast are excellent.

Re: Little women
I watched this today and found it enjoyable. My one criticism was the jumping back and forward in the story . . . I sometimes found it difficult to know whether we were in the past as the 'little women' looked more or less the same 7 years apart. The costumes were lovely throughout. However, I much preferred the earlier versions of the film to this one.

Re: Little women
Thank you. I came here to say exactly the same, wondering whether I'd been the only one who found that extremely annoying as it disturbed the flow of the story and eliminated any suspense for people who happen not to know the story. I know it very well from the excellent 1994 adaptation, which I still prefer, though this new one is more modern, Amy less annoying and Friedrich Bhaer more handsome. I'd always wondered though why Jo married in the end as it didn't fit the character, so the explanation for that was a nice touch. Laurie, however, was a total disappointment for me. What did the girls see in him? He just came across as a spoilt brat.McG wrote: ↑Mon Dec 30, 2019 7:48 pmI watched this today and found it enjoyable. Re: Little women
Very nice film for a rainy Sunday afternoon. Drags a bit a times but whole cast is pretty on point overall.
