Birds of Prey

#1 Post by tonethestone » Thu Feb 06, 2020 6:09 pm

Margot Robbie is great (and HOT!), the film is mad paced and packed at start and end. Middle part drags and when it’s over it feels pretty forgettable, it’s better than Suicide Squad which isn’t difficult, and it’s better than most recent DC films but still lacks anything make it memorable or worth a second viewing or BR p*rchase.
2.5/5

Top Gun Maverick
MI 7 & 8

Thoroughly enjoyed it, full of utter chaos and mayhem from being to the last line of the film 4/5

its the frenetic Harley Quinn comedy show really, ok and pretty much what you'd expect but missing that extra level that makes it stand out.

DC comics have recently been smart to focus on individual leads played by the best actor they can get, it works better than CGI fests and characterless team ups. But you still need a good plot!

2.5 star
fav 5 films of the year - Tenet, Bill n Ted 3, Invisible Man, JoJo Rabbit, ?
