Tenet
If you like Nolan you’ll love this. I’m a huge fan of Nolan’s previous films and this film is off the scale of crazy! It’s loud, mad, brash, non-stop crazy throughout. It’s hard to understand, truly need to see again ASAP to try and figure out what I’ve seen. A mind bending must see experience but if you prefer fluffy popcorn films, stay away.

Re: Tenet
Saw it at BFI iMAX and it looked absolutely immaculate on 70mm/15per film.
The action is mental, the sound track is crazy and the story is smart but also part of it, is it’s weakest point for me.
There’s loads of full height imax footage, I would say over half the film.
The 2.5hours goes by fast
Loads of (fast) dialog so grab a coke or coffee
Ooo and Tom cruise was there with his M.I.7 director and he waited patiently for the credits to finish before everyone, row by row, was allowed to leave
Just about squeezes a 8/10
Going to watch it again in imax70mm and 35mm this week :)
Will it save cinemas?
I doubt it, it will do well the first week but that will just be the core fans turning up.
This weekend will be interesting as Disney have surprised everyone by releasing New Mutants early, and I bet Warner B is soo happy about that

Re: Tenet
I thought it was a well acted film with a lot of action in it. It also had many strands to it perhaps too many you had to p*y attention to follow what was happening and i can't pretend i fully understood it. All in all i would give it a 7/8 out of ten.

Seeing it for 2nd and 3rd time in the next week.
Can’t wait! It’s truly a mesmerising bit of cinema.
New Mutants getting torn apart in reviews.

Re: Tenet
I arrived with low expectations due to reviews of what was to come, 3 stars or less in their element. A different movie might be more satisfying but but I left with high expectations due to previews of what was to come, 3 stars or less in their element. A different movie might be more satisfying.

I liked everything about it except the central premise. Watching things go backwards just wasn't that satisfying. Possibly because it's a bit fudged, this isn't simply two movies running in different directions that meet at certain points, that would have been sweet. They have to break that recipe so things make basic sense, it's a weird mix of unused training, time travel and slippery rules. It looks like they might try and milk it as a franchise

Re: Tenet
Does not quite feel like its held together the plot in the end, but its a great attempt at something completely new.
The main negative is that the sound is quite loud sometimes. It feels deafening. The other difficulty is deciding when and whether you should be disengage your brain or feverishly trying to work out what just happened before the next action sequence. Kind of forces you to see the movie again.
It starts off as a kinda Bond film but it all goes loopy well before halfway.
They should do all Bond films like this! The look on Daniel Craigs face would be priceless.

Re: Tenet
So I went to see this again last week just before cinema's closed, and second viewing was waayy better! Feel like once I had a grasp on the general concept, watching again allowed me to really enjoy the nuance and all the complicated plot points that were all a bit unclear the first time around.
