E: 11/03 Win Two Tickets To A High-Rise Screening, The British Library
The British Library is home to the Ballard archive, a unique collection of draft and manuscript copies of J. G. Ballard's early 1970s writing including The Atrocity Exhibition, Crash, and High-Rise. Ahead of the release of Ben Wheatley’s powerful film adaptation of High-Rise, The British Library will be presenting a day of activities to explore the author’s visionary novels, the era and the urban landscape they are set in, as well as the process of bringing them to the screen. The day includes a special preview screening of High-Rise.
High-Rise
1975. Two miles west of London, Dr. Robert Laing moves into his new apartment seeking soulless anonymity, only to find that the building’s residents have no intention of leaving him alone. But as Laing bites the bullet and becomes neighbourly, he finds his good manners and sanity disintegrating along with the building.
We have two tickets to give away to this special event!
