Hacksaw Ridge - nominated for three Golden Globes including Best Motion Picture Drama, Best Director and Best Actor Drama - is the extraordinary true story of Desmond Doss (Andrew Garfield) who, in Okinawa during the bloodiest battle of WWII, saved 75 men without firing or carrying a gun.

Hacksaw Ridge, directed by Mel Gibson and starring Andrew Garfield, Vince Vaughn, Teresa Palmer, Sam Worthington, Luke Bracey, Hugo Weaving and Rachel Griffiths, is released in cinemas on January 26 but Times subscribers can see it first on January 16.
