Sex & Drugs & Rock& Roll tells the story of Ian Dury (Andy Serkis), lead singer of the Blockheads who, severely disabled by polio as a boy, defied the odds to become one of Britain’s most original and influential singer-songwriters. Artist, actor, the Godfather of punk, husband, lover and errant father, Ian Dury was the man who put the phrase “Sex & Drugs & Rock & Roll” into the English language. Bill Milner plays Ian’s son Baxter with Olivia Williams as his first wife Betty, Naomie Harris plays Ian’s on-off girlfriend Denise and Tom Hughes plays Chaz Jankel, Ian’s songwriting partner in the Blockheads. The cast is rounded out by Toby Jones as Hargreaves, the young Ian’s tyrant schoolmaster, Noel Clarke as sound engineer Desmond, Mackenzie Crook as Russell, Ian’s bandmate in the ‘Kilburn & the High Roads’ and Ray Winstone as Ian’s dad Bill.

Sorry for chat but this is important - even though the above says "for non-subscribers", the confirmation text T&Cs say "(3) Users who successfully claim tickets will need to print off the email with a valid booking number and take it along with your Times+ membership card to the cinema on the day of the screening at the time given."

The email confirmation also says "PLEASE REMEMBER TO BRING YOUR TIMES+ MEMBERSHIP CARD WITH YOU TO THE CINEMA ALONG WITH THIS BOOKING RESERVATION"

Just a warning!
