Watched the first one again, last night. Its just as funny and exhilerating as I remembered it. No other animated movie makes me laugh so much. Taking time off this afternoon to see number 2 today :)

Oh man, I really wish Ogwai (the funny but wise turtle fella) could be in the second one but how can he :(

Well, I went in only knowing it was a sequel, and that a few people said it was good.
As good as the first, a perfect follow-up in every way. I nearly teared up, I laughed a lot, the visuals were astonishing, Baby Po was cute as hell. What a perfect little film.
I'll be back watching it many times this summer.
10/10

A 10/10? That is high praise indeed! Looking forward to seeing this. :D

I haven't seen the first film. Would people recommend I try and watch the original before Sunday?

Oh yeah, absolutely. The first movie is a 10/10 for me.

I went into the local cinema to watch this afternoon, the projection messed up just after the intro and title appeared. Then the show was cancelled. There was a 3d version showing half hour later but I refuse to watch anything in 3d if given the choice. Was very unhappy. Got my money back but that's not the point, I psyched myself up for this and rewatched the first one last night n all! Oh well I go see it on Friday.

I went in to see it, no 3D showings at the cinema, so had to go 2D. Then ads and trailers had 3D, then the film had 3D, so we all complained, eventually they handed us glasses AND finally, after ten minutes of annoyance, stopped the film and went back.
Saw the 3D version for 2D prices. Shame the 3D wasn't Dreamworks' usual quality, not as flat as Shrek, but not as precise as How To Train Your Dragon.

Saw this tonight (courtesy of Vue), very good indeed, beautifully animated, with a nice score (by Hans Zimmer again!), easy enough plot for the kids to follow, and lots of action and comedy.

Gary Oldman is an absolute delight as the evil peacock, loved all his scenes, Jack Black’s the usual chubby baffoon, and I really liked the goat fortune-teller (Michelle Yeoh). My big disappointment is that Jackie Chan hardly says two words, and Angelina Jolie’s Tigress sounds half asleep most of the film.

I saw it in 3D and thought it was pretty good for a change (on the water especially), the colours were bright and there were a couple of gorgeous dream/flashback sequences that used different, old style animation.

So definitely worth seeing, in fact I might go see it again Sunday... 8/10
