Went to see Derren Brown: Svengali last night and it was very entertaining, probably one of his most entertaining shows. Lots of audience involvement backed up with some history and mystique. We've been told specifically not to say anything about what actually goes on in the show, so can't write much more, apart from go watch and be thoroughly entertained 9/10

Son wants to see this but most tickets are really expensive. If you don't mind my asking, where did you sit and what did it cost? I'm wondering if the cheaper seats are OK or if you would miss out on the action. (And he does NOT want to be called up on stage anyway!)

I was in the 3rd row of the Royal circle (dress circle) on the side, it wasn't the top priced tickets (they are £76 I think!) but the 2nd tier pricing. It was quite decent view.
There's no escape, he picks people from all over the place, stalls, circle, balcony! I think the cheaper seats should be fine. There's also screens on stage to make it easier to see the action.
Svengali has been selling really well, I think 95% of the seats are sold. It's probably one of his better, if not best show!

I will have a competition running some time today to win 2 tickets to Magic Summer Live with headlining act Sir Elton John, at Hatfield House Sunday 17th.

Other acts include: Mike and the mechanics and Rumour.

I will post the link once the comp is live for anyone here who might be interested in attending.

Sounds like a brilliant bill to me! Would love to see any of these acts, let alone all. I did enter the itunes comp for Rumer but assume I didn't win as she's probably done her show by now.
