Dont forget our progress project. Participants, have you all got your measurments? Even measuring your waist will be enough if you dont have weighing scales or body fat scales. A tape measure is all you need. And if you dont have one of those, than this link will give you no more excuses as these people will send you a tape measure for FREE! Thanks to Tilly who actually posted this up in the Bargains Board-Freebies thread :)

I've failed miserably I'm ashamed to say  My mother was ill for three weeks (visiting every night), loads of car trouble (lots of borrowing cars), cat trouble as you know and yet again Liquorice has been in another fight and hurt his leg so was at the Vets again last night so eating what I can when I can ie Snickers bars and bananas.

I am prepared to be named and shamed, I have just measured my waist and it is unfortunately 32". I did a double take as I thought that I had it the wrong way around as I have never been over 30" ever 8O Its due to all the crap (I can't think of a lady like way of putting it) that I have been eating over the last few weeks hence bloated. I am going out for a carvery tonight which doesn't help :nono:

I will lose at least 1" from my waist in the next 2 weeks and another 3" before the 10th August - my holiday.

OK ;) Its fine to falter, the progress chart will just show what happens when we do and we learn from it and rectify our ways.

The mistake we're making is not keeping this thread alive. Myself included, we all need to keep checking up on each other. I need support too, at times, I too may forget where I am heading. After the Paris marathon failure, I got disheartened and lost my way a bit.

Remember to eat healthy 6 days a week and reward yourselves with your favourite cheat meal on the seventh day.

And you need to schedule yourself. Plan your week ahead. Know exactly which day you will go swimming, gym, or have that long brisk walk etc. Schedule yourself is a big factor in pursuing your goal. When shopping, look at the ingredients. Go for most unrefined natural food possible. Organic is great, more pricier but healthier and easier on the fat loss journey. Only b*y enough sweet stuff for your comfort day. Resist the special offer temptations of crap food because I very well know that pretty much all the best offers are on the evil food. They are literally the devils temptations, so just tell the big horned fella to go to hell.

I said I will post up an example healthy balanced meal menu, I'll do this tonight. I'll also post up a beginner's workout schedule using the existing online videos, later. Promise.

Diane, I found this site that sells the stretchbands I use (these are beginners set, so ideal for you, the site I orignially got mine from dont sell them anymore so I am afraid I cannot vouch for this particular seller's service but they seem ok)

http://www.pricepointfitness.co.uk/vmch ... k-with-dvd

These are pricier because they are made of the most durable material and have very comfortable handles. I also recommend these to everyone else who do not have the luxury of time to use a gym or even working out at home as these can be used anywhere.

Oh I hope your mother is recovering, make her priority, dont worry about your waist. You know that will go down again and I like your tagerts o/ Just keep thinking of better eating alternatives even in the restaurants. I wish your mother a fast recovery.

My Mother is completely back to her bossy self thanks and back at work (she's 78 but still works one day a week). It was a water infection that made her delirious for 3 weeks.
The cords look brilliant I could use them at lunch time at work so there is no excuse for not using them as it only takes 7 minutes. I will go for a 3 mile walk tomorrow and after tonight start eating healthily again.

I will keep this thread alive and encourage everyone.

Just returned from my 4 mile walk (2 miles to M&S and 2 miles back - just needed fruit) and got absolutely saturated even my underwear was saturated I didn't take a coat as I thought that it was going to be a lovely day. As it was just on the streets and on the flat I wore my Fitflops for added exercise and b*ght a melon and pineapple which acted like hand weights. Just had a lovely L'Occitane bath followed by lovely body lotion (to get the body beautiful  (great expectations from one bath) ) at this moment in time I don't feel invigorated just tired but I'm sure I will shortly and I have got a vegetable chilli for dinner (from the batch I cooked a few weeks ago) followed by my fruit.
Hows everyone else getting on?

Well surprise surprise this week has been a total disaster. Since I found out I've got to have the Colonoscopy and have to fast before hand, I've gone beserk and ate for England. Trouble is because of my problem, I'm eating heaps but nothing much leaving me so to speak.
So this week I've put on weight, body fat and BMI. :noo:

Right, for me the only way I could tackle this is to spend money, so I've just ordered 4 weeks Diet Chef from QVC and another week from Ebay. I know its not ideal but its the only thing I can do at the moment. If not I will just b*y food, fruit and veg, then throw it all away as I have been doing for a while.

So, tomorrow I'll start, I've got a variey of Diet Chef stuff around, and have found this amazing popcorn, 100% wholegrain and is gluten-free and high in fibre. it is air-popped – rather than oil-popped – which means it has the lowest fat levels possible. its 93 calories and the chipotle chili flavour is immense 8-)
preferred locations Shepherds Bush, Westfield, Notting Hill, Central London, Wimbledon, Islington, Wandsworth thanks

Hahahhahha, I feel so much like having popcorn right now, but there is no popcorn in my cupboard (lesson learnt from my mum... do not b*y junk food, otherwise you will end up eating said junk food!)

With my popcorn craving in mind, I opened the cupboards and I found some Ebly (Pure Durum Wheat); it appears to be excellent eating directly from the box (no cooking), plenty of proteins/fibres, not too much calories!
Maybe you should look into it Valda?
And it's also very yummy when cooked :D
