Wow im so excited about christmas!! and this thread has made me even more so....
and I have my toe in the water when it comes to lots of stores, so I know whats going on in main shops such as Asda, BHS, Boots and some clothing stores so I can give you guys a heads up when it comes to Sales, and promotional days :D

I am obsessed with wrapping presents, I love it, I'm like Monica from FRIENDS with ribbons, tags, bows, and paper in all colours, styles, finishes. However, I have b*ght a fair few presents earlier in the year, in January and April sales, wrapped them, and forgotton whats in them! So to make sure I don't spend too much £ on specific people i'll have to unwrap, and re-wrap which... i'm quite looking forward to!

Just so you guys know....
Boots Christmas Shop will be in stores fully from this weekend, some items have crept through this week, and on 3for2 as usual.
BHS have a 20%off event on everything, for everyone, not just cardholders. They get their Christmas shop in in two weeks, stockrooms jam packed!
For stocking fillers for the ladies, jewellery 50%off sales start next week in DP, Wallis, and BHS, and also I think before the end of October the jewellery range in selected Asda stores will be sold off, and it's cheap anyway, so it'll only really be pennies :)

So you don't go over your personal budget for specific people have an individual envelope for each person. You can either put the cash in it and p*y from it or put a piece of paper in with your budget and note down every penny you spend on them.

Oh no,most people are getting £15 anyway, and i write down how much i've spent already in my diary, and once the moneys gone its gone, and anything they have over, i'll keep for myself lol
plus, i'd easily lose envelopes in the copious amount of handbags i own :D good idea though

Got a lot of things but still have about a bazillion things to get. It doesn't help that my husband, mum and dad all have birthdays just before Christmas! Got DD loads of ds games, stocking fillers and a wee video camera so just one big present to get. DS has a wheelybug but will probably b*y a few wee toys and clothes as he's only wee. Nearly got my sisters as well. Hotdeals has been a godsend as I'm on mat leave and on a budget this year.

Asda have carried out a research and have found that the average cut in christmas spending this year by consumers will be approximately £250.00.

They have found that most people will be cutting down on Christmas cards this year as a way to save money!

I hate the christmas card thing........I tried not to do it last year...but still had to get mam & dad cards and brother & sister in law card just to keep them happy : (

I love Christmas dont get me wrong but I just dont get cards at all......What is the point. Also When i receive them i feel obliged to send one back, there's always someone you've forgotten, never know where to put them blah blah blah.

Gonna try and not do them this year again............no doubt i will be emotionally blackmailed into it! lol

Wow, I've never even spent anything like that much, and that's not the average spend but the average cut!
