has anybody gone there yesterday?
how was it?
Daughter and I went yesterday and we really enjoyed it. We had excellent stalls seats and I am reliably informed by daughter that the Frederick Ashton version of Romeo and Juliet is rarely done so she was especially glad to see it. We thought the performances were excellent. Don't hold your breath for exciting scenery as it is all very minimalist (ie cheap!) but if you concentrate on the dancing you won't notice that.
Look out for Tybalt as we thought he looked like Draco Malfoy! The two leads are big stars at the Bolshoi so this is a great opportunity to see them. And for free!

Celini wrote:I just checked for today's ballet and they are extremely far from being sold out (at least 30% seats left and lots of very good seats)... meaning people going there with SFF may even get the most expensive seats in the house!!!!
What do I do!!!! Dilemma!
I went yesterday - very many thanks to ejwrank
We had row D seats in the stalls which I think are usually £85 (on the pamphlet they appear to be the most expensive for this production). Very good view and comfortable! The ballet was lovely - not been to many but just such an amazing opportunity to go to something like this and I do know the Prokofiev music well and the story. I would recommend the experience unless you know you are really not a ballet fan and may find it a bit too much...... The Coliseum is worth a visit in itself.
Preferred cinemas:
Central London and North London as far north as the Hampstead Everyman including Picturehouse Hackney/Notting Hill Gate - but not Wood Green and North Finchley as they are just a bit too far.

Darnit missed the Romeo and Juliet code today, could've actually gone. Here's to hoping they put out another code for evening shows next week, or is it over yet?

Missed that one, too. Shame. Although it had mixed reviews.

Yep, we were already in London so this would have been perfect and we were only saying yesterday, just how much we would like to see this show...what a shame we missed out, I really hope that more codes are released

yes, that's true!
Dancing and music were beautiful! Decorations - not so much

... too modern... (projections + colour lights?)
we had good seats in dress circle, also 85 pound ones? This was a brilliant freebie

and long live showfilmfirst!
We want more

I went to Batman live on Saturday i missed out on the free tickets so i got some from the wanted thread. when i received the tickets i printed out the change of name email just to keep my back covered once i arrived at the MEN (around 6:05 pm) i went straight to the box office to redem my tickets the man didnt ask me any questions and just handed over 4 tickets. I was quite relived when he didn't ask for any i.d or anything. I went to the man letting people through the door's he let us all in but just couldnt resist doing a bag check. I had i walk around the venue and b*ght a very pricey diet pepsi and some very dear merchandise but hey it doesnt matter. We wasnt aloud into to the actual arena until around 6:30 so i had to weight around.
Once i got into the arena and found my seats and the show started the 2 directors of the show came on the stage and said thakyou for coming to the dress rehaerasall of the show. All in all the arena wasnt that busy and i really could of gotten there at a latter time but how was i ment to know.
All i can say is that the show was fantastic apart from the 2 technical glitches which lasted about 2 minutes.
Me and my family had a great time at the MEN and all for free
Really need to join the Free Film's club this year! Always forget
