Re: Weight Watchers
The walk was good had to walk a bit quick hence felt rather warm this afternoon.
I'm mega impressed with you, you are a professional athlete now.
I've lapsed a lot these past few months exercise wise due to me over committing at work, on courses and socialising so I need to get my act together and make time to exercise. I have no excuse as I could have said no - my biggest failing is I like working, courses and socialising but I will timetable exercise into my schedule.

Re: Weight Watchers
Walking is a great way to exercise in the short 10 minute bursts recommended, is there some nice walks round your way Diane? Everywhere is just blooming with summer flowers just now so even walking along the street is a joy up here.Diane65 wrote:The walk was good had to walk a bit quick hence felt rather warm this afternoon.

I never went to zumba tonight as i've been feeling shattered trying to get back into the work routine. I've been for a few walks though as car sharing with my oh this week (this has been hellish in other ways but got to count on the good and not work on the bad)
I've STILL not had any cakes although was tempted tonight, had watermelon instead. Had porridge for breakfast, red pepper and chicken soup with a few pieces of brown bread then a piece of lemon drizzle cake (oops). Tea was burack
( spring rolls filled with potatoe and mincemeat) with salad and NO SUPPER, however did have a cheeky wee glass of vino.
Not quite got to grips with treat days yet sorry glassy, more like a treat a day

Re: Weight Watchers
Just went for a power walk, thought it was only 20 mins but apparently it was 45 mins. Nice fresh air too!

Re: Weight Watchers
i went for a walk yesterday - ok it was mainly around the shops but it was for 2 hours.
err and repeat today.
and i know i ate cake but i did make them old fashion stylee using good old spoon and bowl, it does give your arms a good work out if you do it properly! hehe
i didn't have breakfast this morning though i ran out of time due to booking films and then was out until 12ish then had breakfast, no lunch, and a burger in wholemeal bun for dinner and a small slice of quiche and a few cupcakes.
yesterday was terrible. i had chicken and salad at the harvester but had rolls too, and then after going to the hospital i ended up back there and my friend got me a desert whilst they had their dinner because he didn't want me to sit and watch them eat! :O
still not drinking enough water though.
main objectives this week is:
eat breakfast every day
leave the house at least once a day and walk whilst i'm gone
drink more water
err and repeat today.

Focus on the positive you've got good objectives so the only way is forward. You must be the opposite to me I can't go without breakfast and I don't think that I have ever stayed in a whole day that would be so hard for me, I live life to the full (thats my problemaruif wrote:i went for a walk yesterday - ok it was mainly around the shops but it was for 2 hours.

Well I'm in London, so I guess the air isn't too fresh but just circled around my area.havingascreen wrote:where about in the country are you walking evilzadi?evilzadi wrote:Just went for a power walk, thought it was only 20 mins but apparently it was 45 mins. Nice fresh air too!

Re: Weight Watchers
These look good Aruif, you cold always add a bit of squash into the water to make it juicier (sound like an advert i know). The walking bit should be easy to stick to in this wonderful weather, actually got some sun up here too todayDiane65 wrote:Focus on the positive you've got good objectives so the only way is forward. I've been eating porridge for breakfast with a sprinkling of raisens, that sets me up for the day, do you like porridge? Fruit is another good brekkie food thats a bit lighter, or even a smoothie if you really can't face it.
Good luck with it

Re: Weight Watchers
i usually just have all bran for breakfast, if i can find it and afford it sometimes i have some slices of melon too.
i've just been given some blackberries from my aunt's garden so will make a smoothie with those tomorrow
I've eaten LOADS today. though all in one go! i've had a burger, 2 sausages, a lamb thing, huge plate of salad, couscous and another cupcake left from yesterday! i know that's a lot of meat, but i didn't have any carbs with it, which suits me much better!!
didn't do breakfast again though and won't have dinner as too full still from the late lunch.

Re: Weight Watchers
pssst mr g.
i've lost some weight! in the last 10 days. from my middle, my arms and my face.
i don't know how much but i do know because people have noticed and because my clothes aren't quite as tight.
long way to go but it is a start.
