i will do when i can get back into my cool clothes that i love so much!!
2 stone to lose to get into those, at least!! bahhh
and everyone keeps asking me to make cakes - but i end up eating them too so have refused all cake making requests!
i have to add here that i am on medication for a medical issue that is weight related so it is a bit of a cheat but in order for them to work and not make me feel really really sick i can't eat certain foods (mainly high GI ones). so it is from actual effort to be good too!
i need to start doing some toning though, especially on my arms! :O

I was speaking to a hulahoop man down in London who told me hooping is good for your arms as you can hoop and tone at the same time. He sells those big heavy hoops and told me its unrealistic to hoop with a lightweight childs hoop when you are older and heavier. His website is www.hoopguy.com. He said hooping for 1 minute burns 100 calories. i'll be ordering a hoop as soon as i get pa*d as its a really fun way to exercise.
Try it and let me know how you go

my sister is almost a pro hoopergirl! she is amazing at it! she has been trying to teach me for over a year but my bad back and hips are a no no right now, every time i try i hurt myself
she makes her own hoops too! she has one that has lights in it for night time and her new one has fire sticks coming out of it :O
i desperately want to afford to go back to the gym. this is where i feel most comfortable and most motivated to work out. it also gives me a great routine to eat etc.

Re: Weight Watchers
Wow Aruif and Rawr_oxo...AWESOME! Keep this up girls and dont forget to reward yourselves with a treat
Aruif, dont forget to explore those smart people workout videos I posted a couple weeks back. You dont have to spend a penny with those
Until you can afford gym membership, they are a brilliant substitute. But well done on your progress so far! Rawr_oxo, thats splendid progress. Dont forget, measurments can fluxuate at different times of the day. Keep it consistent. The best time is just before breakfast :)
HAS: Look forward to your comments on the trying that Hulohoop thang, sounds like a fun way to burn calories alright. But still do other cardio too
Mixing cardio workouts is great for the body.
I have to admit I had 2 cheat meals days this week. One on saturday when I was at the High Voltage Rock festival and today, ice cream with Diane
But it was worth it, and Diane may have noticed I compensate when ever I can. For instance, one scoop. Ordering steamed rice and chicken satay (which tasted great!). it may have seemed like a small portion but I eat 5 times a day to keep my fat burning metabolism high :)
Progress chart is due. Shall endeavour to post it when I get a moment within next couple of days.

My little one hula hoops constantly at 7 she has become known locally as the hula hoop girlaruif wrote:my sister is almost a pro hoopergirl! she is amazing at it! she has been trying to teach me for over a year but my bad back and hips are a no no right now, every time i try i hurt myself![]()

She has been trying to teach me, I am hopeless! She does it so effortlessly, barely seems to move and tell's me I'm doing it all wrong and I should be moving my hips in a 'gentle square shape!' So there's me desperately trying to keep one hoop around my waist for more than 5 spins and she has 4 going round her waist and and another going round her arm above her head!
I love reading the posts in this thread and seeing how everyone keeps motivating each other on, when I'm getting tempted by the vending machines at work I often read this thread to drive away the temptation.
Preferred Cinema's now Paignton or Exeter!

Youngsters do seem to pick up a natural rhythm, my daughter and neice are the same. I'd keep trying as it took me ages too but when i got it spinning round and round i was estatic.raineylb wrote:My little one hula hoops constantly at 7 she has become known locally as the hula hoop girlaruif wrote:my sister is almost a pro hoopergirl! she is amazing at it! she has been trying to teach me for over a year but my bad back and hips are a no no right now, every time i try i hurt myself![]()

i desperately want to afford to go back to the gym. this is where i feel most comfortable and most motivated to work out. it also gives me a great routine to eat etc., she walks to school and back most days hula hooping can even walk up and down the concrete steps we use without stopping. She would love a hoop with lights.....maybe a little young for the fire sticks!
She has quite a collection now and but prefers the more weighted ones as the hulahoop man you mention suggests.

Aruif, your sister sounds totally hulahooped up, post us some pics of her hoops if you get the chance. I was talking to hoopguy about bruising around hips as i found it hard going but he assured me if i kept it at my bellybutton it'd be comfy.
