Two free summer books with The Telegraph next weekend
Get ready for your summer holiday with free Ruth Rendell and Louise Bagshawe novels next weekend
Saturday, July 30:
Ruth Rendell writing as Barbara Vine: Brimstone Wedding
Jenny’s marriage is loveless, and she is having an affair. She works at a care home, where she befriends Stella, a woman dying of cancer – whose own secrets parallel Jenny’s – the difference is, she may have been involved with murdering her lover’s husband.
“Barbara Vine is Ruth Rendell letting rip.” The Daily Telegraph
“The Rendell/Vine partnership has for years been producing consistently better work than most Booker winners put together.” Ian Rankin
Sunday, July 31:
Louise Bagshawe: Glamour
At school three friends find a bond which they think will never be broken. Years later, the girls are co-founders of an exclusive store chain, but things are set to change.
“This glittering blockbuster of a novel will have you hooked from the very first page.” Heat
“If you like your novels fast-paced and full of characters you’d love to call friend (or indeed an enemy), then you’ll really enjoy Louise Bagshawe... mouth-wateringly addictive.” OK! magazine
How to claim
Pick up at Martin, Martin McColls and RS McColls nationwide. While stocks last. Terms and conditions apply.

The Proms: two free CDs inside The Telegraph
Two free CDs of Proms classics from the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra. Inside The Telegraph August 6 and 7.
Get two CDs of Royal Philharmonic Orchestra recordings to celebrate the 117th Proms - free inside The Telegraph next week.
This fabulous collection of CDs showcases some of the music performed over the years during the Proms season, so whether you enjoy the Pomp and Circumstance and flag waving of the Last Night of the Proms or simply some of the best classical music even written, this CD collection covers all musical tastes.
CDs include: Pomp and Circumstance, Jerusalem and the William Tell Overture, as well as rousing pieces by Mozart, Bach, Grieg and Handel.
Now in its 117th year, the BBC Proms legacy is very similar to the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra’s. Both offer first-class performances and the highest possible standards of music-making across a diverse range of musical repertoire.
Now known as The World's Greatest Classical Music Festival, the Proms started as a series of outdoor concerts set up by Robert Newman to help make classical music available to a wider audience.
Tickets were sold for 'Mr Robert Newman's Promenade Concerts' for as little as one shilling each for standing tickets - and these concert goers became referred to as promenaders, or prommers - a tradition still alive today.
The Royal Philharmonic Orchestra celebrates its 65th anniversary in 2011. For details of the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra’s forthcoming concerts around the UK and its CD collections, visit the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra website.
These CDs are not endorsed by the BBC Proms or The Royal Albert Hall.

Two free CDs: Agatha Christie mystery dramas
Don't miss The Telegraph, August 13 and 14, for two CDs of BBC Radio 4 productions of Agatha Christie mystery dramas.
These atmospheric dramas will have you riveted with suspense on summer car journeys, while sunbathing or simply to keep you entertained while pottering at home. Enjoy the period details, charming accents and Christie's masterful plotting in four tales dramatised by top casts of actors including Dervla Kirwan, Andrew Sachs, Miriam Margoyles and Michael Kitchen.
The first CD, free inside The Telegraph on Saturday, August 13, includes two suspenseful stories: The Hound of Death and In A Glass Darkly.
The Hound of Death is set in 1920. In it an ambitious doctor meets a nun apparently traumatised by what she witnessed in the Great War. An attempt to restore the woman's sanity results in the uncovering of something very sinister indeed.
Cast:
Alice - Julia McKenzie
Dr Rose - Michael Kitchen
Tom Hayden - Simon Treves
Sister Marie - Marianne Borgo
Kitty - Alexis Zegerman
Dramatised by Bill Morrison
In A Glass Darkly tells the story of a man who witnesses a murderous attack on a young woman in a mirror - yet when he turns round there is nothing there. Can he prevent a premonition coming true? Basic human loyalty and jealousy are at the fore in this chilling tale.
Cast:
Jeff - Neil Dudgeon
Sylvia - Rebecca Egan
Wainwright - Rob Sherman
Neil - Rhys Meredith
Angus - Richard Firth
Dramatised by Mike Walker
The second CD, free inside The Sunday Telegraph on August 14, gives you another two chlling period dramas: The Witness for the Prosecution and The Last Seancé.
The Witness for the Prosecution begins when Leonard Vole finds himself accused of murder. The predicament is made even worse when he discovers his wife to be the chief witness against him. The trial proceeds with a number of unexpected twists.
Cast:
Mayherne - Anthony Bate
Leonard - Hywel Bennett
George - Stephen Moore
Romaine - Miriam Margolyes
With Sheila Allen, Diana Fairfox, Simon Treves
Dramatised by Bill Morrison
The Last Seancé is about a young woman who, having lost her husband and only child to the war in Afghanistan, turns to an Irish couple for hope in the form of a miracle. But dark forces are at work, and the price to p*y for salvation may be too much to bear.
Cast:
Rasha - Rebecca Saire
Meena - Montana Thompson
Patrick/Constable - Rupert Degas
Colleen - Cate Hamer
Sergeant - Paul Kember
Declan - Adrian Dunbar
Bridget - Dervla Kirwan
Mr Weiss - Andrew Sachs
