Brent Cross summer sounds

Shows will be at 1pm, 2pm, 4pm and 5pm daily. On selected days there will be an additional 3pm performance.

Join us in the first week of August for our first summer festival, Brent Cross Summer Sounds. We have seven days of music and dance from some of London’s top acts and talented local community groups.

Shoppers in Brent Cross will be able to enjoy musical styles ranging from gospel, folk and contemporary pop, to jazz and classical.

London underground music night Boiler Room has teamed up with Umbro to host a five-aside football tournament and BBQ this Sunday in Haggerston Park, Hackney.

Team will be made up of local collectives and brands, such as NTS Radio, Hotflush Recordings, Numbers, Palace Skateboards, R&S Records, Umbro, Standard Place and Young Turks. Music will be courtesy of the Boiler Room soundsystem, and there will be free Red Stripe and free food provided by the Sit Down Affair & Northfield Farm. It’s on from 1pm – 6pm with a very special after party (details yet to be disclosed) from 6.30pm that’ll be broadcast live on the Boiler Room website.

What: Get two free tickets to Thorpe Park, valid for adults or kids. Get by: 7 tokens between 6 - 19 August (then apply by Thurs 25 Aug)
How: Collect seven out of 12 tokens from The Sun (Mon-Fri 25-30p nationwide, 60p on Saturdays) by Fri 19 Aug.

Send application form - in Wed 10 Aug paper or online (not available yet) - plus tokens and an SAE. You must be flexible on when you can go.

Excluded dates: Tickets will only be valid on one specific date. Write five of the eight date bands provided in order of preference on the envelope when you apply. If all yours are unavailable, it'll contact you with an alternative.

Applications without five band choices won't be processed. If you don't put them on the envelope, it'll be processed last.
