Re: Free Theatre/Concert Tickets Discussion Thread
ok i have more of an update...they are really sold out for all performances this week which is why they sent the cancellation email. there are limited seats for tonight, wed and thursdays show. you can collect your tickets from 6pm but it is very limited.
i thinkt he cancellation email was to stop too many people coming as they apparently turned a lot of people away yesterday.
hope that makes sense and helps people

Still, they should not have touched the SFF allocation and treated them as proper tickets, it's really unfair otherwise.

It's still really annoying though. I was planning to go tomorrow but don't want to risk getting turned away.

Re: Free Theatre/Concert Tickets Discussion Thread
They really didn't give my tickets a second glance yesterday, so if any FMUKers & guest/s are local and can get there early and collect their own and the guest pick up for someone elses? Then let the person they are collecting for know they have their tickets so they don't have a wasted journey?
Or even if there is anyone close who just doesn't mind picking up for people, unfortunately I just live too far away to help.

Re: Free Theatre/Concert Tickets Discussion Thread
I am sure SFF has some clause on their tickets and/or website to warn people about this. It's the same really as them sending out way more free tickets for a preview screening then there are seats.; there's always a risk involved. And a new production that's just starting to generate some buzz needs to sell as many tickets as possible to overcome the first big cost they've had to make to create the show. it's probably more a fault from SFF by allowing people to book up to 4 tickets each than the theatreBeate wrote:Still, they should not have touched the SFF allocation and treated them as proper tickets, it's really unfair otherwise.

SFF T&C:
Allocation of tickets
All tickets are supplied in good faith and Showfilmfirst cannot be held responsible for any changes or cancellation in screening times. Tickets are supplied on a first come, first served basis. Whilst all efforts are made to ensure tickets are allocated to capacity, in the event that there is overbooking, for whatever reason, any alternative ticket allocation is entirely at the discretion of Showfilmfirst or the cinema manager. No guaranteed compensation is offered. Tickets are supplied for use of applicant and guest only. Tickets are non transferable.

Re: Free Theatre/Concert Tickets Discussion Thread
Yeah but we all know they oversubscribe. That's a bit different to give someone tickets then cancel them again.
