Phew, I was not the person sitting next to thedude - that wouldn't have been a good first impression!

Lol a_person, I was definitely not as bad as thedude's neighbour but since we seem to be the only two people who felt any kind of anxiety over this film, I thought there could be a slim chance Goodness knows what I would have been like if I had actually given two hoots about the characters...it was the loud soundtrack, I tell you - that's what gave me the heebie jeebies in places.

So this is a ''fan'' premiere. No treats and is in screen 2. On the plus side, screen 2 has been renovated and has been vastly improved.

I seem to be in the minority here, but I actually enjoyed the film! Liked the fact that the violence wasn't toooo bad... was a bit worried that it was going to be gory and was prepared to shut my eyes, but it was just gory enough to not offend a wimp like me! It was all action and really the only bit I didn't enjoy as it was totally non believable was the whole Rio meets Notting Hill meets OO7 meets Valhalla scene! As if anyone is going to dance about the streets in a small Scottish village topless! It's toooo damn cold for one thing! It was entertaining and though the characters weren't awfully likeable, I was quite surprised by just how many of them were taken out by the various "baddies". Harmless suspenceful fast paced entertainment... 7/10

Turn out for the fan premiere last night wasn't great. There were loads of empty seats in the refurbished screen 2 of the Empire. We also got shafted on the goodies front- no water, no chocolate, no popcorn- nothing. Gilbey and the cast gave a brief introduction before taking their seats and the film starting- oddly with lights still up. Sitting closer to the screen it wasn't too distracting unless you looked over, as you could still make out other audience members clearly. I imagine it could have been quite annoying further back.

This could have been good but was overloaded with ridiculous sub-plots and contrivances. In the end, it's quite average.

Would you believe, over a month after seeing the film, my Mini Maglite torch from the comp win for this just turned up at work. I had forgotten all about it.
