I posted this on the London board but I thought maybe I should mention it here as it is theatre related.

Watch One Man Two Guvnors for Free!

The tickets for One Man Two Guvnors, James Corden's magnificiently entertaining play have long been sold out. However, this Thursday 15th of September, the National Theatre will be broadcasting the play live to different cinemas around the world.

If you are around London on Thursday, make sure you get to the Theatre Square outside the National Theatre where there will be a free screening of One Man Two Guvnors! The event will include live behind-the-scene interviews, an outdoor bar and an open-air curtain call.

Entertainment will start from 6.50pm on Thursday 15 Sept 2011. So don't miss out!

This is a request for information from all you London FMUK'ers.
We're visiting our daughter in London in October and one of the things we intend to do while we're there is take in a show. I'm not looking for free tickets but the best place in your opinion to b*y tickets. I've looked on the internet and apart from a vast range of pricing, there also seems to be different types of tickets and I'm concerned I might p*y over the odds or even get ripped off. I know there are bona fide companies selling the tickets but I'm after some really good info from an intelligent and knowledgeable forum (that enough grovelling?). Seriously, any hints and tips are welcome.
Thanks in advance.
What I'm looking for is:
4 tickets on a Saturday evening in October (15th).
The shows she would like to see are:
Priscilla (queen of the desert)
Jersey Boys
Rock of Ages

You should consider b*ying tickets on the day from one of the half price ticket booths.

No, not from one of them - there's only one you should use and that's the one under the clock in Leicester Square. Not any of the others around Leicester Square.

That is TKTS: http://www.tkts.co.uk/

But personally I recommend lastminute.com, I normally don't find tickets cheaper than on there and there's usually no booking fees either.

You can also go to the theatre directly (no booking fees, you can pick your seats and you know you won't be ripped off) or go for day tickets at the theatre, usually a lot cheaper but tickets will be very close to the stage or restricted view.

Yes, the white "hut" with brown roof opposite Raddison Hotel. The official half price ticket booth.
They sell good tickets for the same day performance. Saturday 2-3 pm will be the time to check ( and to b*y!)
