Re: Free Theatre/Concert Tickets Discussion Thread
I really shouldn't spend ages writing a review, as I have a report to write up for work, but briefly:
It gets 10 for entertainment value but 0 for originality. Half way through I thought this must have been made by some american producer who wanted to copy the success of Mamma Mia and obviously they even name check that musical in the 2nd half. How many times have we seen a little country girl moving to Hollywood and end up down and out as a waitress or stripper?? How many times have we seen young idealists fighting evil developers?
Don't get me wrong, it's very enjoyable throughout. The populist in me really wanted to give it 8/10, but the critic in me said no way. And it's more pop ballads than rock. I guess the fairest score would be a very enjoyable 5/10. I would happily watch it again

I watched it yesterday, but I was at the back stalls. It wasn't as bad as I thought, normally I prefer to sit at the front.

Re: Free Theatre/Concert Tickets Discussion Thread
*cough*we were there yesterday as well
*cough*
tonight we had seats at the back of the royal circle (they refused to exchange our tickets for something closer), so made our way to the front and it was actually not bad!
It gives another perspective and I noticed stuff that I haven't before
