I just hope people at the box office are nicer today. :cross: It was fine last week but this week we encountered two men that were really quite short and un-co-operative...
Yes I suppose it's possible it was for the later show, I wasn't p*ying too much attention.

The box office was busy behind the ramp today with about 6 different people jossling for position. I was the only one collecting tickets though.

I'm having a lucky run at the moment. Last week I had third row Royal Circle seats which were fab. This week third row Stalls. o/

Hope you get lucky too CT.

We have great stalls seats too, yay! We had Royal Circle (2nd row) once, but other than that we've had fantastically close stall seats each time. It really adds to the experience to be up and close for the action (and glitter)

This is going to be the closest that I've been to the stage for this and I'm looking forward to it! However traditionally the very first few rows at the theatre are regarded as poor seats (among other things they can give neck ache for some things). So staff may not be used to people prefering them.

For example for many productions in the Olivier the cheapest seats are the very front of the stalls and the back of the circle. In November I will be making my annual trip to see Mitch Benn and his band on tour and hope to get my usual front row seats. But I will have to request them, they fill from several rows further back first.

We're not in the third row as the first rows are labelled AA, BB, CC, so we're not *that* close (the first 2 rows are day seats and thus cheaper anyway). Though I was in CC first and it was surprisingly the best view I probably have ever had that close to the stage.

Though I have to say that first two rows for Frankenstein at the Olivier was pretty good too (also dayseats)

The closest I've been for ROA before is row J. There were premium (£95) seats in this row.

I've been 3 times to RoA and I kept getting closer each time.

Row F, then row E, then row B. :D

Whilst it was great being so close to the stage in row B (you can see the wig lines and sweat LOL), I think it is better to be a bit further back from the stage and be in the centre (ie close to the middle aisle).

just looked up this opera. It is on until 25 October. And quite expensive too.
Would have loved to have gone to experience opera for first time. But am busy tomorrow.
Hopefully it will come up again
But it does sound very unusual.

sounds interesting. It's a shame that my brother is only leaving on Sunday (he would definitely not enjoy this), otherwise I'd give it a try.
