Well its a nice hot day for a good long walk, jog or dare I say it...running ;)

Just did a 5km parkrun this morning at brockwell Park. They just started it up here. its an organisation that is spreading all over UK. before this, I was waking up stupidly early (6am on a Saturday) to catch THREE trains to Kingston to join my friends for the 9am 5km race every Saturday morning.

Now there is one practically next door. Bit of a devious killer course that, took me by surprise, it was all up and down slopes.

Its been a while since any action on this thread girls, so hows it going? me personally, I've put on about 4kg...since my prime running days earlier this year. Summer is so busy for me, hadnt done much running. So rather than fret about it, I'll just work on losing that 4kg again and build up some muscle.

3 months to go before Christmas. Start thinking about fitness NOW, dont wait until Christmas. Let Christmas be the big treat for 3 months of hard work ;)

Please join me on my runkeeper team so we can motivate each other! Just record your walks or any activity you do :)

If you dont have runkeeper, just keep this thread alive with your progress and activities ;)

Now, I need to go slump on the sofa and play a game for an hour as this morning run actually killed me. I had no idea how tough it would be that I was even arrogant enough to jog 3.5km from home to the start line before the race. Stupid mistake, though I guess it ended up being a better workout but certainly didnt do me favours with getting a good time!

Count me in. I've just booked to go to Barcelona in 5 weeks so a good incentive to get in shape as I've just b*ght a lovely new coat which would look better if I was a bit lighter. I'm going to Harrogate on Tuesday doing Afternoon Tea at Bettys so that will be my day off this week and I'll make sure that I do plenty of walking when I'm there.
I'm glad you've restarted this thread as I need to take action so no more sweets at the cinema :nono:
Well done on your run this morning that's brilliant, I don't think my walking around The Trafford Centre this morning counts ;)
