Re: The Diary Room
Apart from slackers club preview tickets, what else can you get from a picturehouse student membership card?
Be who you are and say what you feel because those who mind don't matter and those who matter don't mind.

I know the Oktoberfest is supposed to start in September, but better late than never. A local pub is having what they call an "Oompah Band" and Bavarian food all weekend, so OH and I are looking forward to this.

Sounds fun and Bavarian food is lovely. I went to the one in Munich and its brilliant.Ms Thrifty wrote:I know the Oktoberfest is supposed to start in September, but better late than never. Have a good weekend.
I'm going to the Boden sale at the local sports centre, I don't normally like sales but it is worth it.

Just watched a mind blowing interview Jobs and Gates gave back in 2007 at All Things Digital Conference; speaking about Apple, Microsoft and innovations to come!
Bloody geniuses those guys!

Re: The Diary Room
I think you are confusing two things. One is a Slackers Club card which you get at Picturehouses with a NUS card, that only gives you access to Slackers Club monthly screenings on a first come first served basis; and the other is a Picturehouse membership card for students which gives you almost the same privileges as the proper membership card (discounts etc. plus one free ticket and I am guessing tickets to the free membership screenings?).evilzadi wrote:Apart from slackers club preview tickets, what else can you get from a picturehouse student membership card?

Boden sale! Ooh! None in our neck of the woods, that I know. Didn't even know they had them actually. (Turns green...)Diane65 wrote:

All groggy this morning but I'm dragging myself out to the Hospital and fingers crossed I'm out quicker than yesterday.

Re: The Diary Room
Admittedly I'm the opposite of a shopaholic (shopaphobic?) at the best of times, but trawling round homeware and furniture stores is my bete noire. OH and I went to Ikea AND JL Home, which zombified me almost from the entrance - I just couldn't wait to escape. It must be years since our last visit and I'm in no hurry ever to go again. Still, we rewarded ourselves with lunch out and a visit to two NT properties afterwards, so ended on a good note.
