Day 3 of the countdown . . . . . .for all those who are thinking of doing Christmas 
shopping and agonising over the gifts/cost:
Of the presents received at Christmas,
10% will be broken by the New Year,
only 40% will make it to March
and just a quarter will be intact by next Xmas.
Now is it really worth spending that amount of money?

My first visit to a Xmas market today and I managed a pair of them, so that was a good start. Had a nice healthy walk to the Penshurst Place Xmas farmers' market and was pleased to find that there was another one in the village. Good thing I couldn't b*y too much as it wouldn't have fitted into my rucksack but I did squeeze in a large piece of cake (now suitably disposed of).

My facebook feed is just full of photo's of people proudly displaying their Xmas tree's they have just put up, we don't normally put our's up until after 'Birthday Week' as we have a cluster of family birthdays 6,8,9,10 & 11 Dec, but I am not sure I will be able to hold off much longer!

I've got my birthday to come pre Christmas and we used to put tree up on my birthday . . . . .
