I got my post today... But I dunno if it's from the regular postie or from a temp - I have seen temps on certain days pushing the wheelie trolley around wearing their own clothes (usually a tracksuit) and a red postie vest... I think it depends on your postcode.

You can check here: http://www.royalmail.com/portal/rm/cont ... e_redirect

Then: Westfield, o2, Clapham

I tried this link and it is incredibly confusing - it really leaves you none the wiser, at least as far as "London And The South-East" is concerned. I expect they are trying to cover every eventuality but it's not helpful.

It says somewhere that mail posted yesterday will probably have been delivered today but mail posted today might take a while. We got post today, only one letter, but it was the new debit card for the OH as replacement for the one swallowed by the machine on Saturday, so we are happy.

I thought debit cards are posted seperately. My debit cards from Lloyds always comes with some man on a motorbike who parks on the double yellow line, looks like a burglar, quickly posts it and then zooms off again. My NatWest sometimes comes with the motorbike man or sometimes special delivery. Isn't special delivery exempt from the strikes though, i.e they have to deliver it next day as promised?

I haven't had any post either and when they do come, it's like 1 letter at a time!!!!!

My new debit card came in the normal mail, as a "disguised delivery", basically just meaning someone had stuck the envelope in a bigger A5 envelope and handwritten the address on it. The OH's debit card came in the normal mail too, not disguised at all. My card from Germany comes usually in such a flimsy envelope that you can actually feel what it is!

Special delivery should still be delivered next day.

Something happened to me today

#687 Post by MariaLionza » Mon Oct 26, 2009 10:53 pm

I was out really early this morning on my way to school and instead of doing the usual way I walked across Hampstead Heath. I wanted to see the color of the trees and be a little bit in contact with nature, when suddenly a branch fell off a tree and nearly shaved my nose... :red: Ther was a lady walking towards me that jump when she saw it and I just stared at it in amazement. You could get a bump if you try to get too natural these days

I'm taking even longer to give them back! I've had them for over a week and don't have time to see watch them.

me too...because of all those films at the london film festival and they've given me films on the bottom of my pile of wish list....I got Underworld 3 and Punisher 2....absolute rubbish films I think! Might take a very long time for me to watch them. Hey did anyone get some good compensation from lovefilm due to the postal strikes? I got about 3 film credits...
