I believe it's the villain's mask.

The facemask has definitely gone up a creepiness factor, though the arms are hulked down.

i'd rather face off with the 1st one, given the choice. He looks like a couch potato trying to look 'ard and should be easy to scare off, but no.2 is a friggin alien monster.
fav 5 films of the year - Tenet, Bill n Ted 3, Invisible Man, JoJo Rabbit, ?

Uh oh.
B. Alan Orange from Movieweb wrote:After the screening was over, I was allowed a quick second to shake Christopher Nolan's hand. I had to ask. "Are we going to be able to understand anything Bane says?"

This was his response.

"Probably not. He has the mask on, the apparatus, and he has the accent. It's a tough one. He's incredibly hard to understand. Of course, the whole movie doesn't take place on a plane...This insures that you'll go back and see the movie a couple of times in the theater."

Using "The Force" is using one's mind, young Padawan.

Ran from the Trocadero shopping centre in Piccadilly Circus after meeting Youtube legend Freddie Wong at a mass gathering of Twitter/facebook followers and queued up for this. I wisely escaped out of the cinema as soon as I could in order to retrieve my phone and camera.

I thought the footage was spectacularly shot although there was that inherent and much-commented on issue with Bane's dialogue. I have to admit, I did understand 30-40% of what he said, but only because I had listened to all the criticism and listened hard whenever he spoke. Mind you, none of it really sticks out in my memory and to the average cinemagoer it must have just seemed like extended mumbling. What we must remember is that the scene does indeed take place on a plane - I thought the mask was an excellent addition and I thought the voice itself was very well done, although combined with the noise of the wind and of the plane I think it got a lot of people.

Good thing I got out of there early. Was able to b*y a bottle of water before watching classic MGM musical "Singin' in the Rain" at BFI Southbank. It's the third time I've seen it, although there's something very different about seeing it on the big screen.

Member number 33 of the "100 free films in 2012" club. I saw 32, which is rather delightful.. I beat Mr. Glass on free films but he narrowly inched me out on total films seen.

Member number 33 of the "100 free films in 2011" club. I saw 20, interestingly enough. My more realistic target was to see more free films than TheyCallMeMrGlass. I lost.
