Definitely think you should have chopped his feet off. That's just out right rude.superhero wrote:He poked me on my back and when he realised he got my back, he just left his feet there!

Shepherd Book from Firefly perfectly sums up my thoughts on this issue:
"You're going to burn in a very special level of hell. A level they reserve for child molesters and people who talk at the theater."

Haha. What does one do when a talker in the cinema happens to be your +1 - a friend....or even...gulp....your mum? Do you ignore? Shoosh them? Or make a scene?
I have experienced both especially a mum who talks in a normal voice - not whisper - just as if she was sat at home. It soon stops when ignored. Lol. (She's not with me, honest!)

Re: Latecomers to screenings and other cinema nuisances
quickly mention on the way to the cinema screen that there have been a lot of complaints about people speaking and not whispering in that cinema and they are thinking of banning those who keep up with chat. If quizzed you could say you read it on their facebook/website/twiiter feed. It should work and its only a little fib, plus limits your embarrasment!!stuartboy wrote:Haha. Re: Latecomers to screenings and other cinema nuisances
you know what grinds my gears: girls/women(and some men!!) who wear clip cloppy shoes that have to leave to go toilet half way through. I was totally engrossed in the film and suddenly the sound of hooves distracted me enough to expect a neighing sound from the front. (Portsmouth vue 31/1, was it you??)

Re: Latecomers to screenings and other cinema nuisances
I must admit I am sometimes amazed that people cannot sit through a film without a "toilet parade".
Go before the film . . . . . and if you don't need before, as your mother used to say, "go and try" !
I know some of this may be linked to the amount of liquid being consumed during the film . . . get a smaller drink!
I could not leave while the film is showing as I'd be too scared I'd miss something!

Re: Latecomers to screenings and other cinema nuisances
You can't help it sometimes and while I try very hard not to go during a film, I can understand when someone needs to. I try to choose aisle seats or other seats with easy exit access these days for OH, especially if it's a screening where they ply you with drinks beforehand. I hate it when the loos are a mile away from the screening room because I am always scared he won't find his way back!

Re: Latecomers to screenings and other cinema nuisances
i miss so many films because i would be over 10 mins late and don't want to ruin it for other people or myself. so i'm going without. i must be too nice! i still WANT to go in but i too get irritated by people turning up late and interrupting the film so i can't do it myself.
i MIGHT have to change my mind soon though if this constant missing of films keeps happening. it's making me feel sad!
