Re: Music Concerts/Gigs
Rush had a Holland gig on sky arts yesterday. Wow!
Speaking of thr Dutch ......I am not going to p*y for gigs at the moment (that would be sheer insanity when I still owe the uni £3000 from last year - i dont get loans), but I did go to the Dutch Day concert at Trafalgar Square on the weekend. It was half pretty decent even though volume was turned down for the residents. Rigby did a brash, young (but a bit randy lol) Ash-like act, whilst Rachel Louise provided the twentysomething soulful musings. Just a shame so few people were watching...whats wrong with London people, missing out on a free gig? Usually the Square was teeming with folks in past years.
I am not ashamed to say that was my first gig of the year.

You must be really proud Timbo!
Re: Music Concerts/Gigs
Ahh, thanks Superhero - yes very proud. He was the support act for Will Young at a gig a couple of years ago and was tutored by Chris Difford (Squeeze) when he was at Brighton Institute of Modern Music.superhero wrote:You must be really proud Timbo!

Re: Music Concerts/Gigs
Looks like Lady Gaga might have overpriced herself? There's still tickets for her 2nd show in London, but they are really pricey. £77 to sit at the back of a stadium?

I find it quite cheap for "such an artist". All popular and succesful artists concerts can cost more than £100.... to sit at the back of a stadium!

Re: Music Concerts/Gigs
We would love to go to Lady Gaga but I would need to b*y at least 3 tickets and £77 each is more than I can afford. I was really surprised that Katy Perry only charged £34 a ticket last year.
Preferred Cinema's now Paignton or Exeter!

Re: Music Concerts/Gigs
I got tickets for my mates and would have gone this time, but I will not p*y that sort of money for an open air gig. if it had been the O2, I would have willing to p*y that much.

£77 for Lady Gaga is definitely to much.
Does anybody have ticket for Madonna?
