I feel like a horrible person as I am planning to skip the Fawcett society's mayoral hustings to attend this!
Re: Café de Flore
erm......
My brain wasn't working cos I'm not 100% sure I fully understood what happened.
I might have to take a second run at this.

Re: Café de Flore
What, the first waste of 2 hours wasn't enough? Two hours I'll never get back. What pretentious nonsense. I mean, seriously? We are supposed to a) believe the conclusion and b) care?

extraordinary film, cannot wait to see again.
disgracefully, cinema in nottingham only a third full, despite all tickets having been allocated.
only 2 people walked out, their bad luck.
ps anyone going to see, wait to very end.

Re: Café de Flore
I did stay till the end all the way envying the ones that walked out. There are films that simply tell a story and you come out an emotional wreck and then there are the "pretentious nonsense" once that desperately try to convey an emotion and fail miserably. Totally forgettable, waste of time.

Re: Café de Flore
I think that I quite liked this film about 2 parallel love stories in different eras but if I was a spiritual or deep thinking person I would have loved it. As I'm not either I think that I may have to re watch it someday to see what it really was about. 6.5/10
Edit: Basically what David says in his brilliant review.

Just got back from seeing this at Cineworld Bristol - really liked it, clearly not everyones taste, but was shocked only 15/20 people in the cinema - it's not that bad!
