I've vowed that I will get my own back on them (not that they did anything wrong really tbh), by living as long as possible and drawing my pension for longer than they ever thought possible.

Good for you, Preston1990!! Money's important, but you and your kids are worth soooooo much more than all the money in the world!!
I agree totally Preston1990 if you're unhappy at work that must be so hard and you do what's right for you. What fab weight loss o/ I love my job, love learning and do love working so I'm more than happy to work long hours to achieve what I want but its a totally different ball game if you don't feel fulfilled. Hope you enjoy your walk o/

Well done with the progress, all! Very inspirational!

Preston, I personally think your calories are a bit low - isn't the average for a woman 1800-2000 (to maintain weight)? Just seems very low to me, and I wonder whether you should check with your doctor. It might even make the workouts easier / longer as your body will have more energy... You seem to be doing great though, so keep it up!

Got a text from the My Weigh programme that tomorrow's session will be life coaching only and no exercise and she hopes this will not cause any inconvenience.

Hell no! o/
(Ok, I know my attitude to exercise stinks).

Ha ha that made me laugh but totally wrong attitude :nono:

Didn't get in from work until 6.15pm but as I'm going out for coffee (black) and a cake (my treat day) tomorrow still needed to exercise so just been on a brisk 4 mile walk, well 2 miles to pick up a birthday card (hence 15 minute sort of break) and 2 miles back. I thought I lived 1 mile from the shops but just done a route planner and its 2 so I'm very happy. I will do my exercise DVD either tomorrow or Friday. Just had spicy parsnip soup and wholemeal bread for dinner it was lovely but seriously lacking in protein today so need to plan better  I will have a look at recipes from this thread to get ideas as this is when I go off track but I'm determined this time to get in shape.

HaHa – That really creased me up, Beate – You don’t sound like a model pupil, I wish I could be a fly on the wall at your classes!

I can’t shake this bizarre recurring vision that I have of all your fellow classmates standing round you in admiration singing:

Yes there were times I'm sure you knew
When She bit off more than she could chew
But through it all when there was doubt
She ate it up and spit it out, She faced it all
And She stood tall, She did it “My Weigh”

Whilst your instructor looks on disapprovingly!

Must have seen my kids High School Musical DVD too many times! ;)

Good luck with this week’s weigh in! :cross:

Well, not only did I survive yesterday's much anticipated and dreaded 5 mile walk - I really enjoyed it. I'm not sure now why I thought it would be too testing for me.

Got the original full 8 mile one pencilled in for next week. I know I'm going to enjoy it now. Also thinking about getting the old push-bike out and doing a bit on that next week, and also plan to get some swimming in to work my upper body a bit. o/

Thanks for all the continued encouragement - I upped my calorie intake by about 200 today, in view of some of the comments that have been made - but I actually feel quite stuffed and like I've eaten too much!

Going to revert to eating without p*ying too much attention to calorie counting, from now on I think. :D

Hope everyone else is doing well!

Well done Preston you are doing fab, loving your planned exercise regime. I've had my treat day today so it was coffee and cake with my friend but was so stuffed I couldn't eat my dinner. Hey Preston1990 our stomachs must be shrinking as you can't manage the extra 200 calories and I can't do cake and dinner on the same night which is unheard of  I had porridge for breakfast, chicken salad sandwich for lunch, an apple and a yoghurt. Planning on doing my DVD tomorrow as need to get my arms toned and my weak abs strong (everything else needs working on but these 2 areas are in dire need of exercise). Hope everyone else is doing good :cross:

Thanks. I lost a kilo but no idea how. Probably a lighter shirt as I had a huge chicken burrito the other day and Pasta Carbonara for lunch (yeah, I don't wanna hear it).

We got a thingy to fill in about what our goals are and how to manage our triggers, and OH's form is hilarious - I don't think he understands how it is supposed to be filled in at all. Also, after talking for an hour about what triggers bad food habits and how to avoid them, he stood at the bus stop with me and said "I really fancy a pizza now". Model students we ain't. :giggle:

:rofl2:

Your OH must be like me, watching diet programmes (Fat Families, Supersize vs Superskinny etc) that are designed to make you look at junk food with disgust, always make me want to eat.
Preferred Cinema's now Paignton or Exeter!
