So I made a promise to myself that I would be really good, no more junk but since I started work at 6pm the nurse has put a chocolate filled crepe on my desk, one doctor has given me a chocolate covered cereal bar type thing and now the other has come out and told me I deserve some chocolate and put a very large 230g block of Dairy Milk o my desk and walked off....he also left me an orange!

LOL @ raineylb, Beate and jojojoanne
Well done to Diane for squeezing in lots of exercise and for wearing special shoes too! Wear the shoes. Rule the world™.
Well I'm continuing to do my NASA assisted
exercise bike training - another 35 min yesterday. According to the onboard computer in the LEM (Leg Exercise Machine) I travelled 12.2 km. Heart rate was circa 125 to 135. Does that put me in the burn zone? Apparently I used 182.2 calories - blinking flip another 18.8 calories and that would have burnt off all of my breakfast.
I made a massive pan full of vegetable curry last night:
Ingredients -
1 largeish glug of vegetable oil
6 cloves of garlic chopped
3 medium onions chopped
4 large potatos peeled and cut into chunks
1 medium swede peeled and cut into chunks
1 cauliflower
Masses of peeled and chopped carrots
1 pack of runner beans sliced up
Half a peeled and diced squash
Half a pack of wasabi and pea dip
2 cans of plum tomatoes
Water
Half a tub of Sharwoods Hot Madras Curry powder
Fair bit of the following:
Chilli powder,
Turmeric,
Ground Corriander.
Method-
Fry onion, garlic, and all the spices in oil for 3 mins.
Add plum tomatoes.
Empty all raw veg into pan and swoosh round to coat with oil, tomato and spices.
Add water so pan becomes unfeasibly full.
Cover with lid.
Bring to boil until potato is cooked (20 minutes or so)
Keep on mopping up boiled over curry from hob.
Serve. Either by itself or with rice.
None of my family will eat it. They all say it's too hot and spicy!
Paah, what do they know - I love it!
There is rather a lot though!
Today's meals.
1. Vegetable Curry
2. Vegetable Curry
3. Vegetable Curry

Re: Weight Watchers
That curry sounds fab I would love it, you will end up like me. I have a freezer full of vegetable chillies as I make far too much but fab when you're in a rush and want a quick meal. Where do you get your wasabi and pea dip? I will make that in the week.
Been bad today as I missed breakfast so that I could have a bacon sandwich and as its 400 calories takes up a big chunk of my daily allowance, I normally have Sunday as my treat day so can have a larger dinner but I had that on Thursday.
Having a quorn sweet n sour stir fry with noodles for dinner (haven't egg noodles got loads of calories in them
)
Melon and kiwi with a small scoop of ice cream
Snacks: Apple, yogurt and a Cadburys options hot chocolate
I will do my DVD tonight, hopefully won't feel too dead but I get through it with sheer determination
It does work as I've mentioned before my 60 plus year old neighbour does it and her arms are amazing (I don't mean that 60 is old but more so that she had never exercised as such before and within 3 months the difference is amazing)
Well done Preston1990 on your bike that is brilliant and it must be in the fat burning zone. We are going to be so tight and trim this summer
(mine might be next year but I am optimistic). Went to my friends for a coffee after work on Friday to arrange a lunch out but we've opted for a few hours walk instead (In my diary now - seems so strange having a walk in there and not the name of a restaurant) and we just had black coffee and grapes instead of cakes. It was another friend that I did have coffee and cake with on my treat day the day before. That is my problem whenever I meet up with friends which is too often (eating wise) we tend to eat goodies hence the weight has crept up.

Re: Weight Watchers
I've just fished the cardboard carrier out of the bin (Eeeww!!), so I could have a look for you. So I can now say with confidence that it's a new line at the Co-op. It came in a 170g plastic tub from the chilled cabinet. I normally try to avoid pre-packed stuff but this had been reduced from £1.29 to 39p so I thought I would give it a try.Diane65 wrote:....Where do you get your wasabi and pea dip? From the pack info - it basically contains: peas 40%, Mayonnaise, soft cheese (13%), Spinach, mint infused sunflower oil, Lemon juice, Garlic Puree, Dried wasabi, sugar, cornflour, salt, pepper.
Careful though! In this form it's high in fat, and medium in salt and saturates. For 100 gm - Cals 260, Fats 22.6gm, of which Sat 3.1gm, Salt 1.0gm.
If I was making it to use fresh I would basically use half a can of peas and squirt some of that wasabi paste that you get in tubes for sushi and just mix it all together. I'm sure that would give you an approximation of the taste without going overboard on the mayo and cheese.
It was quite nice with salads, but I wouldn't b*y it again I dont think. I chucked it in the curry just to use it up basically.
Yeah lady!! ..... You only just saved yourself there mind, bonny lass!Diane65 wrote:....I don't mean that 60 is old .....
Keep up with the exercise and walks - them thighs could do with a little more work according to the talk on one of the other FMUK threads.

You're not that old Preston1990!
And well done on your weight loss Preston - so impressive!
Although I recently lost half a stone but that wasn't a result of healthy eating.... but being ill on and off over a period of a month. Mr G thought it would be good for me to know that I will be put that back on straight away as soon as I've fully recovered - thanks for the motivation Mr G!
