Sounds lovely.valda wrote:For my evening meal I had a Diet chef Beef in Ale with potatoes, and I added some steamed green beans.
mmm tasty but small![]()
I changed my mind re noodles with my stir fry when I realised that half a pack was 350 calories
I've done a walk instead of my DVD as the weather is quite nice so will do the DVD in the morning.
I've done a cheats copy of Preston1990's vegetable curry, the co-op had a bag of carrots, broccoli and cauliflower selling off for 39p (meant to serve 4- 120 calories for the whole bag) so I thought I would give it a go.
I zapped it in the microwave for 3 minute to keep it crunchy.
Then chopped up an onion (60 calories) and popped that into the microwave with a tablespoon of water with chilli, garlic and black pepper mixed in and then zapped that for 1 minute.
Next I fried them all on a very hot heat in less than one tsp (34 calories) of butter with some curry powder and cumin.
Then added a tin of tomatoes (60 calories) and heated through. It took less than 10 minutes to make (I can't say cook as I microwaved most of it), about £1 and 270 calories for the lot which would easily serve 2 with rice or you could pop in a potato to thicken it up and add some carbs.

Well, I guess that depends on how big you make them. The pan was a 5 litre one filled almost to the top (less spillagevalda wrote: so how many servings then?
That's great news valda! as Diane always says "we are all going to be so tight and toned this summer!"valda wrote: Went to Westfield today and all I had was a tiny little bit of flat bread with a few dips from The Real Greek (tasters outside the restaurant).
Both mornings I've had my 40g of Granola followed by a Diet Chef Soup for lunch.
I've also had some carrots and cherry tomatoes. For tea last night I had a Diet Chef Dhal dish, and some steamed green beans. This is the best weekend so far, I've had for ages.
Love your moodfood website by the way - I've just been been having a look - there certainly is some great stuff on it.
rawr - sorry to hear that you didn't make the gym after all - but hey great move to jump on the BF's treadmill and do a bit on that instead

I knew there was a problem with that pesky BMI thing
Yeah!...but you don't have 5 litres of it though do you?Diane65 wrote: I've done a cheats copy of Preston1990's vegetable curry......

Re: Weight Watchers
Valda we will stick it out, we've made a good start so its onwards and upwards. You've seen my generous thighs in real life so you know that there is work to be donevalda wrote:yeah you tiny little people can eat anything you like. Sadly that's what got me in this position. As I have a free day and woke up with plenty of energy I've done my workout DVD before anyone else has got up, still really struggling with the arm workout section its my shoulder rotators and the smaller accessory muscles that are dire. Biceps and triceps are rubbish but as I use them not as dire as the others but I will get there somehow.
Menu of the day:
Special K for breakfast and a black coffee
Glorious Skinny Soup, Goan spiced tomato and lentil soup for lunch with a slice of wholemeal bread and a peach yoghurt.
Vegetable curry and rice for dinner followed by a kiwi.
I've already drank a litre of water (most of it while I was doing my workout).
What's everyone else doing today?

Re: Weight Watchers
It certainly helps when you plan your daily menu doesn't it, Diane. I should do this more often! A few years back when I had more time to focus on 'me', I used to plan my whole week of snacks and meals!! All I do now is plan the family meals for the evening. I think 'planning ahead' works in all sectors. If I plan my day and stick to it, I get sooooo much more done!!!

Re: Weight Watchers
I've done nothing as usual. I'm eating my PInk Apple and Cinnamon Granola and a cup of Earl Grey. Then off to the shops, or maybe not depending on the weather vx
